lol, say what? You finished it in "one go"? How does one finish a 50-episode anime in one go? Haha. Well, what did you think?

Though I did give Cross Game a 10, I had my share fare of problems with it. For instance, how almost every baseball match was a boring pitcher's duel with the rest of the team never hitting. Or how the same flashback scenes of Wakaba were repeated over, and over, and over. But the characters were great, the anime had this really nice feel. But definitely, it's no match for Ippo -- Hajime no Ippo stands on its own rating scale, in my opinion. I really wish there was just one more rating to just give Ippo by itself.

But yeah, I really do stand by my statement that I highly recommend all the ones I rated 8 and above. They all have this special quality to it. Glad you tried one, and feel free to try any others.

Right, but it's not just you -- most people here tend to do the same, resulting in an overabundance of high grades, and making it kind of hard to discern between them. You know, like looking at another's list and seeing dozens of 10's and 9's, scores that really should be given to your absolute favorites, or what you consider closest to perfection in its genre.

I guess you are all following the high school / college grading system though, where the average grade (a "C") is around 70%, and failing (getting an "F") is around 50%. That really doesn't make sense to me though -- it makes much more sense to divide half of the scale to "good" and the other half to "bad", with "average" right down the middle. But everyone has their own style -- I mean, it's your list -- and it's not like there are any set rules.

It's too bad the current season's that disappointing. I never really watch "Currently Airing" anime on the account of how addicted I get if I'm watching a really good anime. Just thinking of waiting a week for the next episode makes me nauseous. But knowing that there's something really good on the horizon gets me all giddy.

On the contrary, I didn't feel that Infinite Stratos was that generic -- I really liked it. My "generic" or average anime get 5's, and ones that I really enjoyed get 7's. 8+ means the anime's damn special to me -- I don't give those out too lightly. I don't know, I guess I just had a lot of fun with Stratos. Another example, I just finished Ano Hana last weekend, and I only gave it a 7, but I'm still remembering it and humming the opening from time to time.

What's interesting right now though is that I'm watching two anime that seem to be 9-worthy. 9's come once in a blue moon for me, so I'm really surprised, and hence having a great weekend. How's your weekend going?

Wow, that's a lot of gray:

A 66.6% (666) compatibility also? Scary.
lol, in any case, just saying hello to a fellow Ippo lover.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
