Oh yeah, definitely. There was lots of terrible anime before the 2000's as well, but people tend to have a misconception towards older anime because their experience is only with the classics.
Will check out the IGLOO OVAs soon. I was actually about to go through Zeta and Char's Counterattack in a few weeks as well, so it's good timing I suppose.
As for Votoms, I'm really liking it so far since it's a sorta mecha-dystopia, but things have definitely been on the slower side so far. Chirico is pretty silent too. That dude hates talking...

Yeah, there's lots of good stuff listed in the club relations. A lot of titles missing too, though.
The massive episode count for LoGH is a bit intimidating, but the series is so great that you'll find yourself blowing through it once the story starts to take off. Also, you should definitely check out the two prequel movies at some point too. Good stuff.
Right now I'm going through some 80's mecha since the current season has been infuriating me.

I liked what I saw from 8th MS team, but for whatever reason I never went past the 3rd episode. I had seen that portion a bunch of years ago, so school probably got in the way. I'll pick it up as soon as I'm done with Zeta Gundam.
