I try but I often have to choose between game time and anime time ^^; I've been playing WoW for about...uh...11 years now heh, when I have time anyway. I need to get a PS4 so I can finally play the Psycho-Pass game I bought ages ago! Favorite series are probably American McGee's Alice and Fatal Frame. How about you?
LOL don't worry when I'm 29 I'll probably still be watching anime, although only the currently airing ones since I'll have caught up on all of the good ones by then.
True enough, but if you watch subs continually you get used to it and you can still take in the scenes. The difference between full-on focus on the scenes and simultaneous focus with subtitles is insignificant, and the quality of the subbed voice acting more than makes up for it. But if you like Bosch you can continue watching Bleach/Geass subbed. But I highly recommend subbed for everything else except Cowboy Bebop and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood!
Honestly you should skip the fillers in long-running shounen like Bleach/Naruto/One Piece unless you like them. Bleach does get kinda slow in the middle, but at some point later on it does get really good again. (But still not as good as Naruto or One Piece)
Yeah true plus I only know 4 people personally who like anime and that's it :P I might give it a try and see if theres any anime that I haven't seen yet, I'm halfway finished nearly all the animes with a good storyline lol.
Same! Where are they when you need them the most! xD btw did you go to the comic con last week? (I think it was last week)
I didn't even know reddit had an anime part to it, there's mostly people from over seas who use this site sadly. Imagine if there was more people from here who was acrive could hang out!
Arigatou, that was the intention -- to show people my favorite/best 10 anime per category out of the ones I had seen so far. (for example for 10 funniest it will change probably after I see School Rumble and Daily Lives of High School Boys)
Oh wow you are new to anime. Well you're very lucky, there's tons more awesome anime to see! If you're not too busy I highly recommend One Piece; if you like romance I recommend Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun and Toradora!; and basically the anime on the top anime lists on MyAnimeList. You won't go wrong with the highest rated anime.
And of course there's Attack on Titan, which you've probably heard of.
And yes, for at least 99% of all anime out there you should watch the sub. I've only seen two anime in dub which I think actually surpasses the corresponding sub, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Cowboy Bebop; other than that, for the most part the dub actors are relatively emotionless, flat, and all sound the same. Sub is much more emotive and relevant to anime as a whole, especially when the anime takes place in a Japanese setting. Like there's lots of Japanese phrases and words that are particular to the culture which obviously affects the anime produced. So yeah, I would recommend watching sub everything except Cowboy Bebop and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.
