Hisashi Hirai is a Japanese animator, character designer and mangaka. He is noted for his work with Sunrise, having worked in Infinite Ryvius, s-CRY-ed, Gundam SEED, Gundam SEED Destiny and also Fafner of the Azure.

It's like his designs are the most stereotypical description of anime character designs ever, but it's somehow precisely why I like them.

I love his character desings. If I saw Gundam Seed is for the style of the characters.
Actualy I'm seeing Scryed for the same reasons.

Is true that his characters looks alike each other, but this is good for me because I can remember all his desings xD

Is not my favourite character desing, but I really like his work!! ><

I like his early designs (Those from Scryed and Mugen no Ryvius). They're pretty good.

Haters gonna hate. I love his character designs. One of the many reasons I liked Heroic Age so much was the designs.

Well, his designs are actually bearable, and if the animators are working well, they actually come out quite nicely.

That is, until you watch another show that has him design the characters. Then you realise that he never changes his style.

Take Gundam SEED/SEED Destiny and Heroic Age, for instance. Try playing spot the difference on the character designs. It's impossible, right? BECAUSE THERE ARE NO DIFFERENCES.

He's good and all, but if he's not going to change he's going to get left behind.
