AYU STORY, the best of the lot, but some very poignant and macabre moments in the others, particularly younger Ayu demise!!!
I first manga that almost killed me, I swear I slumped into a bout of depression after reading Ayu, never again I tell my himself, yet here I am a month later still talking about this manga...lol
THE BEST!!! although I'm agreeing with anyone citing that these story are unrealistic, any sensible person if they take a step back adn just question WHY DID EVERYONE have such gloomy scenarios, I mean it looks like DEATH AND BAD LUCK were competing to see who could and would break these characters!!!

Ayu no Monogatari and Pao no Monogatari are reallt great. But for me Reina no Unmei and Host are big disappointments. First of all, with those last two, I think that the tragedy parts just become annoying. I accepted it quite easily when Ayu and Pao died, but this time, that was just too much. Does no one in the story characters can live a normal life ? Moreover, the actions of the characters are just unexplainable and stupid. Why Yoshiyuki became a host ? The reason he said is incredibly stupid, and he is becoming cruel, which is not what he is like at all. Reina is also way too stupid... She decided to continue even after what the boss did to her... Even when Akira came back to her. And why the hell did she ask him to go back to her work place, knowing there was a really high chance he would die there... When I saw him going, I was 100% sure he would die. Oh and why the hell did Ayu-chan (Reina's daughter) had been so unlucky ?
Yeah really, Reima no Unmei and Host are the biggest disappointments I have ever comme across reading mangas.
