The plots are different from each other, but both have the same themes (family, loneliness, love triangles out of obligations) and the same feel to it.

They're both about falling in love with the guy living next door and him being ambigous to the point it gets annoying but in L DK is the tension/ atmosphere is much more sexual

both main girls are somewhat lonely, in a difficult situation and take an interest in their teacher, who shows ( an undeterminable which kind of) interest in return the artstyle is completely different though

Yamamori Mika admitted in an interview the influence Ikuemi Ryou had on her work, and you can definitely see how I Love Her influenced HnR. The plot of "recently transfered student meets young and hip teacher" is just the same, and the whole atmosphere feels very similar, dealing with the problems both MCs have to handle with their feelings.
