Both are first person "confessions" of sociopathic individuals which draw you into their madness. Both have unusual art style in comparison with mainstream manga art style, so if you liked one of them you certainly might like the other. While Kami no kodomo is more drama like and generally drawn in light colors, Panorama of hell is visually very dark and ink strokes are heavy do depict more grotesque setting.

Both manga are created by Hideshi Hino, so they have similar art and plot points. Both are horror manga, who focus on a main character that is alienated from the society and is considered as "monster". Both manga tell the story from the point of view of these "monsters", often providing unflinching imagery of gore and other disturbing elements.

Both manga are created by Hideshi Hino, so they have similar art and plot points. "Panorama of Hell" is similar to some of the works in "Jigoku no Komoriuta", especially the first and the fourth. They both focus on a main character who is an artist, whose works are macabre and bizarre. Both manga have unflinching imagery of gore and other disturbing elements, as well as similar mood and atmosphere.
