Favorites: 2 | More InfoIn November 1993 'Riot' began serialisation in Newtype's magazine supplement "Genki Newtype" and ran until 1994 at which point the series was suspended.Four years later, in 1998, Shueisha aquired the series and renamed it 'Riot of the World'. At this point the first two volumes were reissued under the new name with new covers, redrawn sections and two additional short passages. Between November 1998 and May 1999 seven new chapters of 'Riot of the World' were serialised in Ultra Jump that continued the story. They were compiled into the third volume (released on 20th Jan 2000) Between December 1999 and January 2000, following a seven month hiatus, two further chapters were serialised (announced to be the first two chapters of volume four) however after that point no further chapters were serialised and the series vanished from the magazine. Riot of the World is currently considered to be either on hiatus or dropped. (The two volume french edition from Glenat is the original Riot series. The four volume italian edition from Planet manga is the first two volumes of the 'Riot of the World' reissue split into half volumes). |
