Both by classic Naruto mangaka Masashi Kishimoto, both contain his iconic art style, world building and character designs. Fans enjoying Kishimoto's works would do well to delve into his one-shots such as Mario. Those who enjoy Mario should give his latest work Samurai 8 a shot.

Simply the best one-shot I've ever read. In its few pages the story involves the reader to an inexplicable extent. With the fabulous art of Takeshi Obata, who made Bakuman and Death Note grand. Does not have that classic cliché and "happy ending", which made me even more interested in me. If this series had continued, would probably be among my favorites.

Both one shots by iconic mangaka Masashi Kishimoto (creator of Naruto & Samurai 8). Both contain his classic art style and world building while also showing his wide range of talent in two vastly different genres. Fans of Kishi will find enjoyment in both stories.

Both are one shots by Masashi Kishimoto. They both have his signature art style and provide a different perspective of what he's capable of as a mangaka. Fans of Naruto & Kishimoto owe it themselves to give both series a shot.

Both one shots by famous Mangaka of Naruto; Masashi Kishimoto. Although only one went on to spawn an industry defining classic series, the other is not without it's merits. Both use his iconic style and character designs and both are good examples of his wide range as a storyteller. Both have lovable characters and intriguing premises.

Mario shows a different side to famous mangaka Masashi Kishimoto, a great series to get you into the rest of his body of work, great display of versatility. Mario's character design reminds me of Rasa (Gaara's father) and personality wise I can see hints of Shikamaru, Kiba & even Hidan.
