Even if you haven't read any of these, unless you don't like wholesome cute interactions, this might be something perfectly for you. 

...Wait, NO ONE has suggested these 2 as being similar? They're the only manga that I know of that's about raising a pet cat - basically, both are kind of manga equivalents to Garfield.

While different settings, as this is action vs slice of life, the key similarity is tiny cat-like chibi characters being the companion for the protagonist.  

They have the same setting where a guy pick up a cat and raises them with love and care.
