Zombie Powder was Tite Kubo's first manga serial, which he started working on in high school. It was cancelled after only a year, but reading it, you have to wonder why. All of the incredibly stylish art and character design that make BLEACH so great are also in great supply in Zombie Powder. It's got fantastic battles, a supremely cool cast of characters, and is all in all something that every BLEACH fan should read. And if you've somehow managed to read Zombie Powder without first hearing of BLEACH, do by all means start on the latter! xD BLEACH's length almost makes up for how abruptly  read more

Very similiar artstyle, also characters resemble eachother. Both are action packed Shonen Jump series.

Similar happy-go-lucky food loving main characters and also both are set in western inspired worlds.

Both deal with going on an epic quest to aquire an item that has the power to bring a loved one back from the dead or grant awesome powers to the living

Both were from the same mangaka Tite Kubo and both were action focused super natural stories with a very similar style to the writing and world building too.

Both are series that each author wrote before their respective hit series, and it's interesting to see what they had each come up with for either or, and I dare say that Zombie Powder and B.ichi show that each author definitely knew what they were doing before writing their hit series, especially for Kubo's case. It's also interesting to see how each series inspired their respective succeeding hit series.

Both are focused around the undead and both also have moments of action in it and suspense from time to time too.

They both deal with bringing the dead to live, with the main characters involved in dramatic deaths in their past and present.

Badass main character and an (initially) wimpy sidekick go on a quest in a lawless world. Amazing bloody battles with a touch of cyberpunk and mystery. Needless is quite ecchi however, also much longer.

Ok so Zombie Powder was never completed but it's still an amazing manga. Dogs has a distinct coolness to it which I think you'll see in the characters of Zombie Powder as well. Zombie Powder's gang like Haine and friends have a mysterious past filled with violence, loss and who knows what else. I think both are character pieces so if you like one than the other shouldn't be that far a stretch, besides, both have great fight scenes. :) By the way Zombie Powder was created by Tite Kubo before he made Bleach, just thought you ought to know ;)
