Both manga has the main protagonist that has a demon fuse inside him and must protect humanity from evil powerful demons. The main protagonist in both Devilman and Oniwakamaru have to struggle to control their inner demon while trying to keep their humanity intact. Both manga have plenty of action, violence, blood, and gore to keep you satisfied. If you like one, you will enjoy the other.

The most obvious similarity between these two is that the enemies are demons that based on the japanese superstition. You will find a lot of youkai in both series.

In both manga, the main protagonist is forced to share their own body with another spirit inside them to keep them alive. The main protagonist in both manga must work together with their super powered alter ego to transform into a powerful humanoid being to fight evil monsters for the sake of survival. Both manga are quite action-packed as well. If you like one, you may enjoy the other.

Both The Guyver and Oniwakamaru focus on a main protagonist that transforms into a powerful humanoid being with another life form merge inside their body. The main protagonist in both manga also must learn how to control their new superhuman abilities by fighting various monster opponents while trying not to lose their humanity. Both are action-packed manga with similar levels of violence, blood and gore. If you enjoy one, you should like the other as well.

The main protagonist in both manga are partners with a demon (Oniwakamaru in Oniwakamaru and Tora in Ushio & Tora) to fight against evil powerful Yokai. Both manga focuses on the relationship between the main protagonist and their demon partner as they grow to like each other as their story progresses. Both manga have plenty of action and are pretty violent at times (Even though Oniwakamaru has way more blood and gore). If you like one, you will enjoy the other.

Parasyte is a masterpiece and does not need much introduction, but Igyoujin Oniwakamaru is underrated IMHO and although it probably has more in common with Devilman, I still think the recommendation stands. In both cases, the protagonists get "infected" and once they come to grips with the situation, they gain impressive battle powers. Not that they have a choice anyway, plus their worlds start to crumble down. The host and foreign entity eventually collaborate and even start to understand one another. Oniwakamaru ends abruptly whereas Parasyte somewhat drags on. Both titles are gory but Oniwakamaru much more so.

After read the manga, I found out that the MC abilities is similar to each other. Plus, the MC is total badass when killing the opponent. Too much blood and gore with the wholesome fights
