Both the main characters are girls who are always thinking positive. SKS has a longer storyline, with more guys surrounding her; but LTMNM is more of a fantasy manga with a shorter story. I'm leaning more towards SKS, but both are good reads.

Both of these stories have the same author. Both of these stories contain an interesting plot twist. Fruits basket is a longer story, with a more complex story line. The main character is loved by many, and has a hard past. She learns from that past to become a better person. Liselotte to Majo no Mori is a bit different in a few ways. It's more of a short story containing a similar style that fruits basket had to offer. Liselotte (main character) has also had a bit of hard past, but she (like Tohru) is loved by those who meet her. Both give you a similar feeling, with fantasy, witches, hardworking girl as leading lady and a knight/prince.
