Synopsis

After being inspired by Professor Yukiya Okabe, fourth-year student Shinichi Akiyama has decided to pursue graduate studies to learn more about the human mind. While Akiyama is having a one-on-one consultation with the professor, a faculty member from another department, Mitsumasa Iwashita, interrupts the two. As Iwashita urgently requests to discuss an important matter with Okabe, Akiyama cuts his consultation short.

However, that does not stop Akiyama from eavesdropping on their conversation. He overhears that the science entrance examinations have been stolen, and one of his close friends, Kouichi Aratani, is accused of being responsible for this occurrence. Having known him since high school, Akiyama believes that his peer would never commit such an offense. With the guidance of his professor, Akiyama goes through every possible detail in this exceedingly intricate case.

Akiyama is the most important character but the supporting characters were all okay.

Overall this is a nice story to read if you like Akiyama. It's not significant but it adds ...

I'm keeping this one brief since my review for the main title can be easily applied here. Let's go!

Story (4) - It's more of Shinichi Akiyama But In University, really. If you've read the first 'Roots of A', or even just the first volume or so of Liar Game, you already know what to expect: extraneous plot twists and themes of trust & doubt. However, the poor pacing in the main LG is not to be found here, and thankfully so since this is a 30-page oneshot. This comes at the cost of a fairly obvious plot twist that I saw miles away.

Art (4) - ...
