This manga doesn't really try to be deep or have much overarching depth at all. There are smaller stories that seem to push development, but in terms of plot overall it seems to be more comedy oriented than anything. The plot simply seems to be more about letting the character cast do what would be natural for them to do, which works incredibly well since the cast is incredibly amusing, especially Shia who is adorable.
