Both have very cute sojo stories with romance, humor and some awkwardness from the characters, which makes it just so cute

Both the female leads act completely different from their true selves and they both run into a gorgeous lead male who sees through her outer persona.

Both shoujo romances are quite short, concentrating on a "manly" female protagonist who are looking for their first boyfriends.

both have a super cute lead characters with character defects when dealing with other people.

They are both shoujo mangas about girls with harsh tounges, but pure hearts, who just can't get along with others. Then they met somebody and their life start to change. (But Kimi wa Girlfriend is a typical shoujo and Akuma to Love Song is more untypical and deep one. And in Akuma lo Love Song the protagonist is the honest one, but in Kimi wa Girlfrient the heroine just can't be honest with her own feelings.)

It is all about romance, shoujo, and I think it's rather similar to each other ^_^ Both mangas are wonderful, rather short and exciting :)

they are both about girls who cant say what they really mean and who wants to have friends and convey their feelings better... both of them are really cute to but kimi ni todoke is longer ^o^

Both have male characters having a bit of feminine side yet tough on the outside.

the girl haven't any friends (especially girl) because of the girl's scary habbit that make her friends stay away from her...

Even if both series are very different plot-wise, the female protagonists are very similar because: 1. Both girls are actually nice and kind-hearted but has trouble communicating with others properly. 2. Although the circumstances are different, they end up telling the opposite of what they really wanted to say - thus, resulting to people seeing them as arrogant and conceited. 3. Throughout the story, both of them also work hard to be more honest with their feelings and reach out to other people.

Both are Shoujo and School Life where the girls, because of their attitudes are hated by everyone at school. Both girls fall for the cute guy at school.

They are both similar in the fact that the female protagonists don't initially intend to fall for the main male. I felt that Lock On had a more fighting type feel while You're My Girlfriend was more slice-of-life, in a manner of speaking. If you've read You're My Girlfriend, you'll like Lock On. (Or, of course, vice versa)

In both stories, the guy looks or is more feminine and watches over the girl, who is more head-first and tomboyish. Both female protagonists grew up in a family full of guys ^^

Falling in love with friends + humor + lots of cuteness

Two stories about the girl determined to meet new girlfriends who end up getting guy friends instead + romance, comedy and so on...

A girl that is friends with guys, though the stories are different the two are really funny plus the style of humour is very similar.

Both manga are about a boy and a girl with "unique" personalities, and in order to be accepted by their peers they try to overcome their flaws or hide them completely. Ultimately, it evolves into finding a person who can except all aspects of one's character, regardless of minor defects.

While Beauty Pop and Kimi wa Girlfriend have a different plot all around, both series center around a club in school that is centered around beautifying the Maidens of the school (and the main leads don't look so bad with scissors in their hands either!)

These two are about friends who start off trying to help each other but end up develop feelings for each other. The stories are great, read them both!

The stories are different, and Cat Street is much deeper, but both have this heart warming feeling to them, a great plot and realistically imperfect characters. Plus both are really good.
reportRecommended by as3
Different stories but they both have this amazing sweetness and innocence.
reportRecommended by as3
In both, a character needs taming. The stories are both interesting, original and cute. Plus the humour in both is similar

Just two cute, sweet stories with main characters who don't want to be left alone and look for friends - who knows what they find . . .

Both funny romances. They are plot-wise not very similar, but they both give the reader the same feel. In both stories the girl doesn't intend to fall in love with the guy. They are both very good and well worth reading. I highly recommend these mangas
