The story is set in high school, and also a romance slice of life manga with humour, drama and funny moments. Both manga have multiple characters with depth and attention without distracting reader on the main couple. The art style in Blue Box is much more distinctively expressive drawn style to shoujo genre, while Horimiya art style tried to resemble more to the original web comic strip without being too all familiar to other generic manga art style.

They are both romance manga where the main love interests are involved in some kinda sport, they're also both shounen and take place in a high school setting.

Both are romance with sports involved Both female MC are the best at their own respective sports Both male MC are a nobody who strive to reach the Nationals Very wholesome but Suzuka has more drama in it

Both have a similar mix of Romance and Sports where it feels like time actually passes and things actually progress. Neither feel as if any day is the same as another. You actually free the progress in both the romance and the sports side. They are both romance with a background of sports rather than sports with background of romance.

- Both sports (Namaikizakari; basketball while Blue box basketball and badminton) - Romance as well I think you'll like these because personally I like both lol. Might as well give it a try. - Different chemistry between couples of each manga but I think you'll like them both as well.

I'm surprised no one has recommended this yet. Though I promise there's more in common than just the name, I swear! When I started reading Blue Box I was immediately reminded of Blue Flag. Firstly, they're both really cute and wholesome romances. Blue Flag starts out being very obviously a love triangle, but Blue Box is less interested in that, and more about the developing relationship in both of its main leads. Though it's still possible it might go in that direction in the future. The art style also is somewhat alike. They both manage to make some very detailed and beautiful panels of the characters, while  read more

ML and FL dynamic is very encouraging and supportive of each others' respective similar passions, badminton & basketball, and freestyle dance & breakdance. The plots are not too entirely concerned with the romance but it is there.
