In both the main girl is disguised as a boy due to the fact that she was forced to replace her brother/ best friend that died, and so, she goes in his place to attend an academy.

Savage Garden has a darker and more serious ambience in comparison to Dear My Girls. However, both are romantic/historical series that have the following similarities: 1. The story took place during the Victorian era in Europe. 2. The protagonists go to an elite school for nobles. 3. The heroine looks average and doesn't appear to be talented but is notoriously strong-willed. 4. Her love interest is an arrogant and stingy noble who was appointed to be the heroine's study mate. He also has a clingy and manipulative fiancee. 5. Family drama - both series featured abusive parents and possessive siblings. 6. Lots of interesting side  read more

They are from the same artist. Although Savage Garden isn't a vampire story, the feeling i get from both was the same. They are both filled with emotions and dealing with something tragic.

They are both about a girl dressing up as guys to go to an all-boys school, for some particular reason. However, Savage Garden has a more mature, darker feel, whereas Hana Kimi is more light-hearted and fluffy. They are both very good reads, nonetheless.

Gender bender is taken more seriously as both mcs lives depend on it. If you want to avoid those stories where the girl is found out while taking a shower these are for you.

Similarities: - manhwa with gorgeous art - androgynous female character surrounded by males - tragedy/drama in a school setting The differences lie in the genres: - Savage Garden has romance, while Peter Panda is more about friendship - Savage Garden is realistic and historical, Peter Panda is supernatural and modern Both stories give off the same bittersweet feeling. There is sadness and tragedy, but the endings are hopeful. I read both of them in a day because they were just that good (10/10 from me)

Both are in the same historical era, both have gorgeous art and a more mature/dark feeling than the usual shoujo. Both are great reads.

both have a historical setting and a love story that's hindered by the main character's status among other matters

In both stories, the main characters have lost their faith and trust in the world. It soon becomes evident that the only thing keeping them going on in life are their relationships with others, and even more importantly, the relationship they find with their special other. Though these stories are of different genre (shounen ai vs. gender bender), the romance in these two stories both give an outer-worldly feel to them that are hard to find in manga now a days. They prove that even when life kicks you down, love will always be there for you and help you get back up.

Both male characters fall for the girl without knowing her true gender. A lot of drama in both mangas
