Stories that all involve coffee (or other beverages), and everything that happens during that time.

Each chapter is a short story after reading which you feel like you've been blessed with wisdom and comfort. Include stories of helping each other. You also feel the sense of mature adult life, it's troubles, but nevertheless you come to enjoy it. There are stories that make you feel the beauty of the world and keep responsibility in mind.

So, what happens when people from different age groups and different factions of society, meet each other at the *same* location, and end up actually enjoying one another's company? This is what forms the crux of both these manga.

both are collections of slice-of-life shorts with a dash of fantasy. it gets absurd & slightly spooky here and there, the endings are lovely though. Henshin no News isn't exactly traditional in terms of art.

Both mangas have a very relaxed way to narrate about serious matters. Both share the slice of life stories with ordinary people, yet with extraordinary point of view.

Both are anthology manga themed around a food or drink (coffee or eggplants). The mangaka get an incredible range of genres out of the subjects, but the heart of the manga is always about encounters between people.

Both are slice of life, seinen mangas by Tetsuya Toyoda, so the art and atmosphere are identical!
