This without question is the better follow up to Matsuribayashi and Saikoroshi-hen, it feels more appropriate than both Sotsu and Gou.
To be honest it has been a bit since when i read it, but i really love it.
Without spoiling what happens in this manga, i will say a couple things.
Everyone still feels like their usual selves and the plot makes a ton more sense when compared to Gou and Sotsu.
The events of the manga are still so fun and heartful, along with the sub plot.
The character growth that happens is also very meaningful and

doesn't feel out of place.
Everyone is still as lively as ever, the writing and their actions feel realistic.
To put it even shorter, if you love Higurashi like i do and haven't read this manga yet, then i highly recommend it as it sets the ending right, way better than Gou or Sotsu did.
I always think that Higurashi is collectively a 10.
