Manga: Ayaka-chan wa Hiroko-senpai ni Koishiteru
Both play in Adult settings where two women try to fall for eachother. They show the fear of facing homophobia when outing yourself to the public and people close to you, hoping that you don't lose everything from it. You watch both couples go thought a journey of self-discovery and self-acceptance. It is shown that being lesbian or queer in general isn't bad but actually very beautiful.

Manga: Shimanami Tasogare
The art style of Kakeochi Girl reminds me of Shimanami Tasogare, with the surrealism and “glittery” aspect of it that makes you feel like you’re floating. They both deal with similar themes, like struggling with sexuality and pretending to be someone you’re not. Both have unrequited love, and are extremely beautiful. I definitely insist on reading Kakeochi Girl if you adore Shimanami Tasogare.
