By the same author, both series carry a similar dark theme to it & intriguing storyline. Psychological aspects are evident in both series & romance for the main lead is a battle of logic vs emotions.

They both have very eerie and dark plots.

Both are about vampires and seem to be set a part of modern times. The vampires in Kuro Bara Alice are very unique and faced with much more interesting problems. I have never seen this kind of "take" on vampires before and was pleasantly surprised. Vampire Knight more of less follows a tradiitional path but is still very enjoyable.

Both are very dark mangas with horror elements. Both have a quite dramatic and original take on vampires, and both include death and complex relationship.

Both are spooky themed vampire stories with suspense in it as well as a dash of mystery and also nice art and character designs too.

Both are mystery/drama with a similar aura, black-haired male leads who rule/manipulate people. Kuro Bara Alice is fantasy with vampires while Shinigamihime no Saikon is historical with social context.

Both of the have the same vibe of taking care of little girl!? But Black Rose is about a unhuman with a vampire while hana to akuma is about human with a devil

They dont have many similarities but the main girls are very alike: long blonde curly hair, white skin and blue eyes. Kuro bara is much more dark then Antique romance.

In both, the main girl dies but something belonging to her is transfered to another girl( In KBA is her soul while in TKS is her heart). Lots of bugs and butterflies in both that are connected to supernatural.

They may not have similar plots, but manga have the same sort of very dark shoujo horror atmosphere.
