Having read 41 chapters, I can say for sure that this is in no way comedy. What it is though, is a psychological thriller drama that takes place in an all-girls school, and where the "romance" is almost inexistent.
You can call me edgy-wannabe or whatever, but I loved this. Yes, the characters may be "edgy" or "too edgy" even, and yes, they are high-schoolers, which is one of the moments in life when one changes a lot and is more prone to be immature and make mistakes because of peer pressure (a subject which was touched upon in an amazing way in the manga actually)
...
and many other things, so I think it was actually a very good choice to make them be this way. We've all gone trough "edgy" periods in our lives, haven't we? Props to the author for showing that and for the character development as well. It actually stuck with me, the way the girls felt, having rememberd my own self; and honeslty having seen how the story went for some of them because of the lack of help, society being... society and making things worse, bullying, lack of therapy as well in some situations, lack of love and so so many other factors, I think it should really serve as an example as to why high-schoolers and even just kids in general need to be taken seriously, and not only brushed off because "they're just kids". This manga does a great job at showing just how grave things can get if the problem is not treated soon enough and with seriosity. It should be a wake-up call for everyone.
That being said, if you're not ready to see high-school girls killing people because they're trapped in their own mind ( more like being manipulated until the point on insanity) and the dark side of humanity and you're not ready to have your dreams about happy friendships and good people shattered (if you didn't already), maybe it would be a wise decision to not go into this. Like I mentioned before, there's no comedy, there's no romance. Well...not healthy romance, at least. Be aware of that as well, there's no thing as healthy in this manga. If you're still okay with all of these tho, then definitely give it a try.
