Synopsis

Bullied and ostracized, Shin Naerim is looking for a way out. She has no friends, never puts up a fight, and simply endures the pain. This all changes when Naerim meets Vlad Fetechou—a centuries-old vampire who unwittingly enters a blood pact with Naerim. The nature of their bond is one of a master and servant; whenever Naerim sheds blood, a red thread appears, binding the two together.

Fetechou's sole wish is to become human; the only way to accomplish this is to drink the blood of a witch, which Naerim just so happens to be. Growing closer each passing second, the pair learns to heal their own wounds as they face shattered friendships, strained familial bonds, and dreadful shadows from Fetechou's past.

Background

Bloody Sweet is originally a webtoon series that was officially published in paperback format by C&C Revolution Inc. (씨엔씨레볼루션).

The series was published digitally in English as Bloody Sweet by Tappytoon. The volumes were published in English by Yen Press since June 20, 2023. On October 26, 2017, the company began a Kickstarter campaign for a graphic novel release of the series; it was successfully funded on November 4, 2017. On October 22, 2018, a second Kickstarter campaign for volume two of the graphic novel was created and successfully funded on October 31, 2018.

Literally enjoyed this manhua about a happy go lucky handsome vampire coming into the life of a fragile girl who is extremely bullied just because her mum is a witch. Honestly lads, this manhua was one of the best I've ever read in 2020.

This manhua was a definite read now for me because of this coronavirus crisis trying to turn our lives upside down.....

Honestly, i am disappointed, they never explained what Laszlo's story was, the red haired guy was suddenly cut off from the story, we never learned what Jina's motives were for insulting Naerim one last time, Roxanna's story ended like all that build up was a pile of bullshit, Mina never really meant something to this story, the music band idea was thrown out the window just like the Naerim-writes-novels idea, the lovely chubby lady was treated like she didn't exist for the ending of this, it was never explained why Fetechou's mom was what he first thought of when he saw Naerim, Roxanna was kinda ...

I pretty much agree with most of what porcelaine_china_ said, just feels very poorly thought out and all over the place. What infuriated me the most was the ending, it just felt very inconclusive and also very pseudo-deep, like I don't get what was so important about their decision(without getting into spoiler territory). Woulda probably given it a 5 or a 4 before the ending but it was so awful I gave it a 3.
