Both stories feature relationships through the course of the characters' lives. For the full span with Paradise View read the prequel Kimi to Parade first. ***THIS MAY BE A SPOILER*** Both stories follow the relationships through to the end of life. In Paradise View it felt bittersweet and in Life: Senjou no Bokura it had a bit of a lighter feel and was followed by fluff of them reuniting in the afterlife. Both are a good read if you're okay with getting teary!

While "Life" focuses more onto different stages of their lives, NYNY is way more in-depth, but both show ups and down, problems and even how their lives come to an end. As I just finished Life, I instantly thought of NYNY, so I wanted to make this recommendation.

both are more down to earth depictions of lgbt relationships.

SPOILER ALERT!!!!! *The stories start out with friendships that evolve into love, but eventually postponed after one of the characters decide to get married. *The stories eventually end with a reconciliation and the couples staying with each other until the end. Then, the first to go will welcome the other in death, reunited once again (sniff, sniff) *You come to care for the characters and their relationship as the mangaka takes you on a long  read more
