Well, they're both pretty reliant on the mystery behind everything, both consists of "witches", they're also both really reliant on character progression. Although, i'd say Fata does it better in a wider scale (executing the minor characters better.) Whereas i'd say Umineko's main cast is a bit stronger. Both story's are really grounded in their expression. Both narrative's are thematically brilliant & complex. Also again, they got pretty similar characters, both symbolically, conceptually, progression, etc.. Wise. They also tackle similar themes/ideas, such as despair, escapism, Love, identity etc. They are also both pretty meta. In any case, if you like Fata, then i'm sure you'll like  read more

Both works feature a couple, a (heterosexual) romance between two characters who feel absolutely strongly about each other, whose love spans the ages, surviving the centuries no matter what hardships they go through.
