Synopsis"Adventurers" are the group of people who set off on the adventure to defeat monsters of different ranks. The adventurers are divided into many categories according to their fighting style, eg. Monster Users or Fighters. One young Adventurer, Keel, set off for his journey to find the adventurer, Shiva the Monster User, who is called as the world's best for defeating the fearsome S-ranked monster known as Dragon Ape and who he claimed to have taken something very important away from him. He met with Ravi, another adventurer who is a Monster User, with her monster, Mippy, and decide to stick with her because he was told by the person in the town that Ravi might know where Shiva is . . .

Both mangas have a guy that can transform into a dragon (Natsu uses dragon slayer magic and Keel is actually a dragon in human form). There is a cute girl who uses other characters to fight (Lucy with her spirits and Ravi with monsters). "Blue" - the name of the water guy in "Buster Keel" is similar to Grey in Fairy Tail. Blue and Keel don't get along, just like how Natsu and Grey argue all the time.
In both mangas, there is also a guild for information and work and levels for each job.
In Buster Keel, the protagonist are all looking for someone. In Fairy Tail, Natsu is looking for the Dragon Igneel.
The characters and design, especially the setting, look pretty similar in both mangas, even though they are by different mangakas.

Despite many differences the stories of both series are rather similar. Main characters are Adventurers/Hunters, whose job is to deal with dangerous monsters. If you liked one of the series, you'll surely like the other one.
