I don't have a problem with most "ships", but honestly, some people can just be so fucking stupid with their choices of ships. Ask yourself first.
1. Would it be pedophillia, non-consensual, or making them cheat on someone? If so, bad ship.
2. Do you just want to see two good people fuck, regardless of their relationship with each other? If so, seriously consider if this ship is worth it or not.
3. Do you want to ship a gay character straight? It's a bad ship. Most people may not like this comment because they'll scream "WHAT ABOUT THE OTHER WAY AROUND???" and yeah, that's true. If they're confirmed straight. Most characters who are gay come out of the closet as gay. 100% into the dicks. Saitama? I don't ship him with guys. Because dude said he's not into dudes. But most characters although they're in hetero relationships, there's still always a possibility they're bisexual as the author hasn't taken an official stance. So there's always a chance, even small, of the ships. So bad ships = going against their already defined sexuality.
4. Is it because you just want to ENJOY the ship? then ship it. by all means. But stop spreading the bullshit across the internet why they're your OTP. Shut up. We get it. It's shit. Just like your waifu. I'm done here.

LoL. That was nice. I agree with you for the most part, except for the Gray and Juvia thing. It's not that I'd like them to be together, I'm more or less indifferent towards their relationship. My point is however that I don't think Gray is in the wrong for not giving her a clear answer immediately. Just put yourself in his place. First of all you have a huge emotional trauma and are afraid of building relationships because you don't want to lose them, but that's not the reason why I don't have a problem with how he treats her. So, during a fight your opponent randomly falls in love with you and starts stalking you, blatantly hitting on you and getting irritated whenever you talk to another person of the other gender, which they see as a potential antagonist. Isn't that creepy as fuck? And not only that, isn't that plain annoying? I for one would think twice before going out with such a person. So then he could just reject her right? Isn't that what you are thinking? Well, it's not that simple: Juvia's love for Gray is borderline psychopathy so there would be two possible outcomes if he rejected her. She would either straight up ignore him and continue her pursuit or she would go the yandere route, which means still ignoring his rejecting her but also becoming more psycho. So from Gray's perspective either things stay exactly the same or they get worse. So why would he give a clear answer? Because of the 0,01% chance that she understands it and stops following him? Obsession doesn't work like that.

Either the psychological illness, which is the literal definition or the metaphorical one which means not being able to get something out of your mind. There are certainly connections between some kinds of obsession and attention-seeking but this does not apply in general. Actually neither does your definition of addiction apply to every case. Addiction can be distinguished in psychological and body(? I don't know the correct term) . Either way what you say applies to the most usual cases of addiction and obsession but not necessarily. There are a lot of weird people out there, there are people obsessed with eating ice for god's sake! It could be the dumbest thing and you will find someone with an obsession or addiction for it.

Ohh, you mean illness as people who are obsessed with things like fire, blood, ice, dirt etc ? Then on that you are right. But when it's come to social issues, it is most of time a seeking attention/approbation thing. And that sort of obsession is not so bad (depends on how exactly the obsession is put forward.), and it would be a generalization to say it's only/always a problem with self-esteem. The psychological side of someone influenced on a big part of changes in your bodies, the choices you take in life could change some trait in your brain, and like you said there are physic changes on people that are addicting to sex, drugs, someone, etc. But it is still psychological more than anything and the addicted is still totally responsible for his acts. Just don't put them as victims, dialog is an illusion that we build ourselves , so we build what we have in our heads and we are totally responsible for it. I am a hematomaniac and i don't go kniffing everyone i see, nor did i ever tried on someone. That's where responsability takes its part.

Finally someone who agrees with me! Tsukuyo x Gintoki shippers can get pretty...enthusiastic XD I will only ever ship them as bros since Tsukuyo makes one hell of a sidekick. I don't really think Gin goes with anyone, but if I had to pick I'd go with Tama- their interactions are really cute.

Most OP shippings are trash. The 'love' is so friggin shallow. Then again, a lot of the friendships started becoming like that around EL and after imo. Literally Luffy was ecstatic when Franky joined when he hated him before and they never got to spend any true time bonding - you expect me to believe Luffy thinks of him as a 'nakama' right away like that? Esp when nakama has connotations of deep friendships. Same with Brooke. And the group at Saobody - as if Brooke's disappearance so soon would have the same emotional impact.

Anyway rant over and back on topic. I say ones like HancockXLuffy have little actual bonds going for it. They have neither chemistry, history, or similarities (three things I think are important for relationships)

Lets see... RakuX anyone other than Kosaki/Marika/Chitoge. Even the latter two are eh. Chitoge is too violent even if shes a bit similar, and Marika's love is shallow. Onodera is the only one who he had a long history with and a truer and more genuine one at that.

The romance in season one between those two had much more of a believable development than the one between the main couple. The main couple was just this forced nothing that meant nothing like what nothing should mean throughout the entire series. Character development = romantic interest x motivation. Btw its Miyoshi Kaya not Kana. But it is true, Mashiro and Azuki's relationship made them stubborn. And seriously they wont see each other till their dreams come true O_O. I dont know bout that.

While Takagi and Miyoshi had their ups and down they were able to talk with one another and build better understanding. Thats why they didnt get into misunderstandings like the other two.

I don't have a problem with most "ships", but honestly, some people can just be so fucking stupid with their choices of ships. Ask yourself first.
1. Would it be pedophillia, non-consensual, or making them cheat on someone? If so, bad ship.
2. Do you just want to see two good people fuck, regardless of their relationship with each other? If so, seriously consider if this ship is worth it or not.
3. Do you want to ship a gay character straight? It's a bad ship. Most people may not like this comment because they'll scream "WHAT ABOUT THE OTHER WAY AROUND???" and yeah, that's true. If they're confirmed straight. Most characters who are gay come out of the closet as gay. 100% into the dicks. Saitama? I don't ship him with guys. Because dude said he's not into dudes. But most characters although they're in hetero relationships, there's still always a possibility they're bisexual as the author hasn't taken an official stance. So there's always a chance, even small, of the ships. So bad ships = going against their already defined sexuality.

LoL. That was nice. I agree with you for the most part, except for the Gray and Juvia thing. It's not that I'd like them to be together, I'm more or less indifferent towards their relationship. My point is however that I don't think Gray is in the wrong for not giving her a clear answer immediately. Just put yourself in his place. First of all you have a huge emotional trauma and are afraid of building relationships because you don't want to lose them, but that's not the reason why I don't have a problem with how he treats her. So, during a fight your opponent randomly falls in love with you and starts stalking you, blatantly hitting on you and getting irritated whenever you talk to another person of the other gender, which they see as a potential antagonist. Isn't that creepy as fuck? And not only that, isn't that plain annoying? I for one would think twice before going out with such a person. So then he could just reject her right? Isn't that what you are thinking? Well, it's not that simple: Juvia's love for Gray is borderline psychopathy so there would be two possible outcomes if he rejected her. She would either straight up ignore him and continue her pursuit or she would go the yandere route, which means still ignoring his rejecting her but also becoming more psycho. So from Gray's perspective either things stay exactly the same or they get worse. So why would he give a clear answer? Because of the 0,01% chance that she understands it and stops following him? Obsession doesn't work like that.

Your first statement is a bit confusing, I'm not sure I follow. As for the second one, it's not true. Obsession has nothing to do with seeking attention. It's an illness. It's when a person can't get something out of their mind, whether that is love, sex, drugs or whatever.

Either the psychological illness, which is the literal definition or the metaphorical one which means not being able to get something out of your mind. There are certainly connections between some kinds of obsession and attention-seeking but this does not apply in general. Actually neither does your definition of addiction apply to every case. Addiction can be distinguished in psychological and body(? I don't know the correct term) . Either way what you say applies to the most usual cases of addiction and obsession but not necessarily. Just don't put them as victims, dialog is an illusion that we build ourselves , so we build what we have in our heads and we are totally responsible for it. I am a hematomaniac and i don't go kniffing everyone i see, nor did i ever tried on someone. That's where responsability takes its part.

I agree and that brings me to my first point. Juvia is almost a psycho, therefore I don't find it wrong that Gray avoided giving her an answer, which means reject her because he didn't have feelings for her anyway, due to her possible reaction afterwards. He had nothing to gain thus he acted accordingly, namely he didn't do anything about it.

I never understood how this is even a ship...god knows how old Sebastian is, I mean he's not even human!! Pretty sure he's way over 500 years old. I think people shipping them together kinda ruins the complexity of their relationship by cheapening it.
