If you don't typically like Sci Fi I can't promise you'll like it, but if you're looking for a mentally and physically strong female lead you'll definitely find that in Stand Alone Complex.

GitS is smart, complex, sophisticated, and in the midst of a lot of action, very psychological. Also, Major Kusanagi is among the finest, strongest female leads in anime.

Two things:

1) I see you telling people that you have already seen their suggestions when they are not on you MAL anime list. I cross checked your list but see you telling others making the same suggestion that you have already seen them. It would be very helpful if you would update that list and not dismiss suggestions by saying, "I've already seen that."

2) Did you even look at the list of suggestions I gave you? If not, please click on the "spoiler box". I put long lists in boxes as a courtesy. I don't eat up a lot of page space that way. I'm sure there are many you haven't seen. Just ignore the ones you've seen.

Thanks for your comment, I didnt update my MAL list because Im new n so many to add, for your information the anime list that i put on MAL is only my favourite one,that doesnt include another more than 350 anime/ova movie, and more than 400 manga..Plus in this thread I only mention my favourite one in other to let others know what type of STRONG FEMALE LEAD that I want.. Because adding all the other anime n manga that I havent add really took time, I already create a picture of consisting print screen of one of my anime hard disk list..now in progress to link it to this threads..

I understand. Sorry to be picky but, your "I've already seen that" sounded kind of like a brush off after folks had tried to be helpful.

Well, that helps but it is a bit difficult to read. It is still much easier to work from a MAL list. If you want recommendations, you have to make it easier for people to access and sort information. No rush. Just update as time permits.

Red lion (totally forgot but I think it might be to ur liking if u like the others I suggested)

Crazy girl shin bia (strong will imo)

The moment when a fox becomes a wolf (doubt u like it but doesnt hurt to suggest)

Love sos (wants to avenge her fathers death and her eyes.. Ya itll make sense when u read the summary)

If u liked any of these let me know I think I read a few more similar to it and btw tokyo paradise was epic!

Great thread. Tired of movies/series where the supposedly tough main action girl needs to constantly be saved by a guy.

1) Agreeing with the Claymore rec for the Xth time.

I see you already have El Cazador De La Bruja among your queue. You should also consider other BeeTrain series like

Another series to consider is

whose female protagonist and female antagonist are the two toughest beings in the world setting.

Late for the party...

Chihayafuru has many strong females...It is a sport's anime with a female protagonist.
There are many females with variation of character: the MC is clumsy and very unladylike. she is not that clever or smart, but she is strongminded, and she would do anything for her passion. She would practice all the time.
one is clever and cares for manners and is an old literature geek. She is gentle, but she is very strong-willed and intelligent. She can catch hints and she discovered something her whole club couldn't notice.
There are other female characters, such as the antagonist. She is the queen! There is also a coach (she is a side character). There are many girls in this anime.

But what makes it special is that the guys also have variations of personality, they are not wusses or idiots while the girl can kick them and send them flying and such; both guys and girls are on equal footing! They all have their flaws and their strong points.
