The Anime for this week is **drum roll** Hataraku Maou-sama! http://myanimelist.net/anime/15809/Hataraku_Maou-sama! Click on link for further information :) Basic plot of Hataraku Maou-sama!:); Devil King Sadao is only one step away from conquering the world when he is beaten by Hero Emilia and forced to drift to the other world: modern-day Tokyo. As "conquering the world" are the only skills the Devil King possesses—and are obviously unnecessary in his new situation—he must work as a freeter to pay for his living expenses! The general concept of this thread is to generate interest in popular romantic comedy anime and help provide recommendations on anime that members have might not of watched. | A quick review this week from me :). I have previously seen Hataraku Maou-sama! I found this an enjoyable, a very decent comedy and original storyline that had me hooked for the whole series & would easily recommend this for anyone to watch ^^. Summary/Story: The Story is pretty much based on the fact that the MC who is a demonlord, tried to take over a alternate world, however at the final push failed & escaped into earth with the so called hero chasing him here. This is where things get interesting where you will find a demon lord working as a macdonalds manager, living in some dump & having some 16 yr old girl falling inlove. This is just the start of a crazed and insane and unexpected twists at time. Expect to laugh very hard and wondering to yourself wtf did that come from. Other then the probs first 10 mins of this anime, most of it is an original concept & a decent romcom story at that, with the hero (100% tsundere) also falling in love with the Demon Lord, its quite cute :P. Only issue i had was the last ep felt like an OVA & the actual final ep was the 2nd last one ^^. Rating - 8 Enjoyment: Hataraku Maou-sama ! was a delightful anime to watch, i got sad when it got over, and i really hope to see a continuation soon, the comedy was top quality, and the plot got interesting near the end. I laughed my ass off and would re watch :). Rating - 9 Characters: This is where hatraku really shines in my opinion, I have to say that the dark lord was the most interesting of them all especially when his personality changes during work and during fight scenes. The hero which is Emi Yusa(total Tsundere btw) now works at a customer service centre and it was definitely interesting on how a hero from another world becomes a everyday stalker. Characters like Ashiya and Chiho were great comedy givers and they always give me a good laugh. Rating - 9 Overall - 8 Thank you for reading my review & i hope you all enjoyed Watching Hataraku Maou-sama!! or will now give it a go :). It is an original romcom & would recommend anyone to watch it, due to the enjoyment i got out of it. :) P.S sorry for my english :P. I'm too lazy too edit! |
