This time, i hadn't actually previously watched Kaichou wa Maid-sama!, so off i went to watch it :). Originally thinking it was going to be some annoying shoujo i was going to have to painfully get thru for 26 eps. I was actually really really surprised and it was the total opposite. My first impressions on this anime was that it was a decent R & C with both genres complimenting each other (there were moments i would cry of laughter & other moments of nawwww how beautiful love romance) & not just melted together and that my ride for the next 26 eps will be interesting.
Summary/Story:
The story is a little of a cliche taking a girl(Misaki Ayuzawa) who is so headstrong, independent, and smart & the current council president into a high school of mostly boys. She can't officially get a boyfriend because all of the boys are mentally scared of her due to her ruthless determination to improve the school. However this all changes when Usui the (DING) perfect, hot, sexy boy who secretly falls for her and finds out that Misaki actually works part time at a maid cafe as a maid to help support her family. She then finds herself on a daily basis at the games & torture if you like of Usui who wants to know more of Misaki :).
The storyline i feel is probably the weakest thing of this anime & that the romance in this & comedy + the characters really help bring what the storyline hasn't gone to life. If your plot driven your going to have a hardtime getting thru this.

Enjoyment:
As per Mayo Chiki!, it was a simple story, this anime was made up in the enjoyment i had thru it, been a typical romantic comedy, you wouldnt expect any less from it. However this anime was very very good at using comedy punchlines to relieve viewers of sometimes heavy romance scenes, you can go from a nawww to laughing your ass off :). With the support of some of the side characters and the conversations between Usui & misaka, really helped a lot bring out what this anime was aiming for :). It was a brilliant Romcom ^^ and had everything that was needed, other then a few too many filler eps that i felt could of been used better to develop characters better.

Characters:
Pretty much Kaichou wa Maid-sama! is based on 2 characters alone & the side characters tbh were just comedy relieves tbh till later in the series when Hinata came in to stir some trouble :).
Misaki Ayuzawa is a hard working, plain looking, VERY hard working girl. She is forced to work hard for her family, and she want to do her best and display her best. She cares for all, however normally shows this thru her power of control at school as Student Council President as the school is about 80-90% male & wouldn't listen to her otherwise, when she actually cares for them(sometimes).
It is a well created character and different from what I've ever seen. Here we get a crazed girl who should be feared, but also has a innocent soft side to her.
Usui on the other hand the school idol for both girls & the protector of guys from Misaki. He is meant to be perfect in everyway & good at everything, however is normally bored. Till he founds out that Misaka is a maid and he uses this droll personality of his to push her buttons and amuse himself while at the same time bring her closer to him. However the depth of his character really wasn't there, as no development on his past was looked into. The only development of his character was based on his relationship with Misaki & how it developed.
