The round stadium suddenly lit up revealing rows of seats all filled up. Each row was being elevated as it grew father. At its center there were two huge rings, one was positioned horizontally with the other was rotating about its axis. Inside the rings, sparks of blue light were shot across its diameter.

"Good evening ladies and gents!" the announcer opened the tournament with a loud greeting.

The audience roared in excitement as the long awaited tournament has finally started. Holographic screens were placed at the back end of the stadium for better viewing of the fight. On the screens were the faces of the eight participants of the competition standing on the horizontal ring, equidistant to each other. The inside of the ring was now a huge sphere shaped container-like object.

“These eight brave contenders have signed up for our very first semi-annual tournament”, the announcer exclaimed. “They will jump into the sphere and a random arena will be chosen for them. They will be paired up randomly from the beginning and will proceed according to the contest bracket you see on the screens.”

Both the audience and the participants looked at the screen for a moment. The announcer paused before continuing.

“Now, let the games begin. Jump!”

The participants first hesitated to dive into the sphere but one jumped in first and the others soon followed. On the sceens, the audience could see the battle arena and who will fight with who.

Demera of December vs. Scarlet

The light generated by the orb blinded D as she jumped . Next thing she knows ,she is in a room appearing to be a classroom . "So this is the battlefield,eh?" she thinks, looking around .

In front of her stays Scarlet ,her opponent ,and her Kitsune familiar . She was also analyzing the situation carefully and detailed ,her mind running fast . The Kitsune grins at Demera ,which takes out her Sapphire Sword and unites her eyebrows in a scowl .

Both girls glare at each other . In merely a second ,the two engage in combat ; while D swings gracefully her imperial sword ,Scarlet wields with force her elegant metallic umbrella .

The crossing of the two weapons has a powerful impact ; the resulted force throws flying backwards both girls . D lands and sticks with grace to the wall behind her ,while Scarlet lands in a kneeling position near the opposite wall.

Almost immediately ,D reinforces her attack by throwing herself forwards with immense speed . Much unfortunate ,the Kitsune jumps in front of her ,blocking her way ; D swings her blade and sends the familiar flying towards the eastern wall and frozens him in crystals . Meanwhile ,even if it took only few seconds for this to happen ,D was stopped from her attack ,giving Scarlet the possibility to pull herself together and launch an attack with a speed similar to D's .

As a result,D is now pressed against the northen wall and the crossed weapons are producing bright sparks . Demera sighs and closes her eyes ,taking a deep breath . She concentrates most of her physical force and pushes Scarlet with her blade ,sending her back awards flying .

As Scarlet picks herself off the ground ,she notices D changed ; a black metal skeleton covered in blue flames ,holding a sword formed by identical fire sits now where moments ago the Crystal Rose stood .

"It's over." the skeleton speaks in a deep voice ,weirdly pleasing to the ear .It holds out the right hand ,and Scarlet ,visibly shocked ,feels weakened . Looking around her ,she could notice her life energy ,the blue flame called chi ,flying towards the figure's hand . She now barely breaths and feels her heart beating slower .

Moments later she passes out and the Kitsune vanishes .

Demera of December wins.

Battle between Sokurunde Watashi and Fuu

Sokurunde had been one of the hesitant ones to jump into the circle, he did not like fighting much and wondered why he even signed up in the first place.

“Here goes nothing! He yelled, jumping into the circle.

When he was transported to his arena, he saw a boy in a black robe, black hair, and holding a katana. He looked to be very deadly.

“I am sorry that I have to stall our fight, but can I ask of your name? I don’t want to be fighting you when I do not even know your name. My name is Sokurunde.” He said. The truth was, he was stalling, looking for things to help him fight this person. To put him to sleep.

“Oh really? I love talking! I will tell you my life story if we did not have to fight right now! My name is Fuu! Just Fuu, nothing else!” Fuu had said all this very rapidly without taking a breath, “Now, if you don’t mind, let’s fight!” Fuu charged towards Sokurunde.

“Wait, what?” Sokurunde had time to say before Fuu sliced at the air where he had been, the fight had almost ended before it had even started. “Please, don’t make me angry…“ Sokurunde said before summoning his staff and running towards Fuu and swinging at him.

Fuu had given up when he swung at Sokurunde because he had thought the fight was already over, therefore, he was not prepared for the staff to the head. “Hey wai-” Fuu had managed to say before getting knocked out.

Sokurunde did not want to disappoint the audience on a very short fight, so he sat down and entered Fuu’s dreams, which, for some strange reason, the cameras could see.

Dream world

Sokurunde had entered Fuu’s dream and saw a flat plain where Fuu stood, “Sneaky move Sokurunde, I did not see that coming. One question though, where are we?” Fuu asked.

Sokurunde replied with a grin, “We are in a dream world, your dream world. Now, enough stalling, let us both fight!”

Sokurunde charged towards Fuu with his summoned staff and swung at Fuu, who was now prepared, dodged Sokurunde’s attack and swung back with renewed force towards Sokurunde. Sokurunde sped away with his powers and landed twenty feet away. Fuu, surprised, said, “You were nowhere near this powerful in the real world. Then again, you should not even be in my dreams. If I may ask, is your power the one of dreams?”

Sokurunde smirked and nodded, he was not surprised Fuu had guessed so quickly, “Let us continue our fight then.” Sokurunde then shot a beam of light at Fuu. The beam was traveling so fast that Fuu did not have any time to dodge and was hit in the shoulder.

Fuu realized that he had to step up his game and ran at Sokurunde with renewed speed. Sokurunde just laughed and swung around Fuu and swung at his head yelling, “This is fun!” Fuu countered by ducking and slicing off Sokurunde’s finger.

The effect was instantaneous, Sokurunde dropped to the ground screaming and clutching his hand. He looked up at Fuu with pure rage in his eyes, turning them red. Sokurunde was not going to hold back just so his enemy does not get hurt anymore, he was going to kill him.
But before he could, Fuu sliced at Sokurunde’s head and Sokurunde woke up in the arena, retching and grabbing at his throat until he felt better.

This battle is over, but who is the actual winner? Sokurunde knocked out Fuu, but Fuu killed Sokurunde in the dream world! What will happen next! Exciting things await!

The announcer has declared Sokurunde Watashi to be the victor of this round.

Tamashi Amaterasu vs. Rai

Rai was reluctant to jump into the sphere. She looked at the other participants of the tournament and saw one familiar face out of the seven other participants. She concluded that they might’ve been sucked into one of the worlds as it happens often. Nonetheless, she did what was expected of her and went into the sphere, closing her eyes. She wanted to be surprised.

When she opened her eyes, Rai curled her lips to a smile as she saw the stage set-up for the first round. A cafeteria, she presumed it was, had more than enough tables and chairs she could use. It was almost funny that it was to her advantage. There were also several fluorescent lamps hanging. The room wasn’t too big for her not to notice her opponent that was sitting on one of the chairs, staring back at her.

I’m Rai.” she said with a smile.

Rai found it important to introduce herself to her opponent. It was easier to refer to each other if they tell each other their names than simply describing each time they were mentioned. Also, she believed that it could help in her business to know more people. The silver haired boy, however, only remained silent and looked like he was glaring at her. Rai couldn’t really know for sure since half of his face was covered by a mask.

The boy stood up from his seat, still keeping his eyes glued on Rai. It was as if he was waiting for her to make the first move. He placed on hand on the table as he heaved a sigh and mumbled something barely audible to her.

Tamashi”, he said, Rai presumed it was his name. “Let’s get this done and over with right away.

Tamashi closed his eyes and raised his right arm sideways. From the tip of his fingers up till his elbow, it started to take a different shape. Rai stood in place and waited for what was bound to happen. It might not have been the best strategy to just stay put and watch but she wanted to know what he was doing. After a few seconds, his arm was now that of a sword’s blade.

The boy opened his eyes and looked at her with the same glaring expression as earlier. Without wasting another second to pass, he dashed towards her and suddenly disappeared. Rai smirked as she still remained on the same place. She was used to having speed as an enemy. She could hear his footsteps; light and barely making any sound, like that of an assassin. Despite that, she was still able to detect his movements. When the timing was right, she moved three steps forward and turned around, just in time to see him slashing downward at the position where she once stood.

Rai almost laughed when she noticed the expression on his face. The boy seemed surprised that his attack was completely and easily avoided. She took this opportunity to retaliate. With one finger already pointed at a chair near him, she pointed at the silver haired boy with the other hand. At the snap of her fingers, the chair went flying to his direction. He swiftly moved out of the way. Clearly, he was not a beginner in fighting.

Not bad”, Rai complimented.

This was a sort of warm up for Rai. And maybe for the boy too, but she wasn’t too sure about that. Defeating him was an easy feat, she presumed, but ending the fight too early would be too boring. So, she decided to play with the boy a little bit more.

Rai pointed at the table in front of her and, again, aimed at the boy. She snapped her fingers. Instead of blocking, the boy sliced it in half and continued to walk towards her. She remained rooted in place. After all, she wasn’t the type of fighter who doesn’t run away.

As the distance between the two was getting shorter, Rai took a single step backwards, her arms on her side, while hiding her hand pointing on the closest table on her right. The boy jumped off from the ground raising his sword-shaped arm in the air. Just as he was about to cut her down, she twirled sideways pointing at the boy with her left hand and snapped her fingers again.

Tch!

Rather than slashing the table again, the boy disappeared and reappeared behind Rai who noticed his movements too late. He kicked her on her lower back area, sending her to amongst the rows of chairs and tables. The boy smirked after finally landing a blow on the woman who he knew was underestimating his ability. She got what she deserved.

Tamashi moved towards where his opponent had been thrown off. Rai, who was tangled amongst the chairs, had a little bit of difficulty in getting up. The boy, standing in front of her looked down, as if he was trying to provoke her. Her heart was racing, not that she was in love or that she was scared. It was because she was getting excited. Her opponent now might even survive longer than she had expected.

The silver haired boy pointed the tip of his blade at Rai’s neck with that certain look in his face. It was as if he was mentally threatening her to give up or else he’d take her life. She laughed, although other than that, she barely moved.

Relax”, Rai said, her voice calm despite her situation. “ This ain’t a death match.

The boy only continued to glare at her. Rai was starting to feel uncomfortable with how she was positioned but it didn’t stop her from taking advantage of the situation. All it took was another snap and she sent another chair towards the boy. Clearly he was surprised as it he barely made it in time to defend himself from it.

But Rai didn’t stop there as she snapped her fingers five more times sending five more chairs. The boy wasn’t fast enough to dodge all of it. This bought enough time for her to get back up on her feet. She decided to end it with this attack. Taking out the knives she hid in her stockings, she pointed at the direction of the boy who was still recovering from her attack. After the instant she snapped her fingers, the boy was now pinned to the wall.

Rai, with a dash, swiftly went in front of the silver haired boy. He was obviously agitated, as he struggled to break free.

Calm down boy”, Rai said as she punched him in the stomach who did stop and glared at her in return.

Rai removed two of his unused swords, still sheathed to his side, and dropped them to the floor. She checked for any other weapon he might have hid only to receive a hiss from the boy. She placed a piece of paper in his pocket before taking her hands off.

Just when he thought he had the chance to retaliate when she had allowed him off the wall and turned her back on him, Rai did a roundhouse kick. He managed to dodge it but the attack was followed with a punch in his stomach. He curled over while Rai only stood in front of him, with another smirk.

You!” he exclaimed as he raised his hand.

Rai took his anger to her advantage and kicked him in between his legs, right where it hurts the most.

Your anger clouded your judgment” were Rai’s last words before he fell to the cold tiled floor, unconscious.

Rai has won this fight.

Kanzaki Hiroyoshi vs. Kojiro Sakamoto

A table was cut in half. One half went flying out of the window while the other one crashed with the other tables. Two males, one a man and the other a boy, stood across each other. The older one was raising her hands, palms facing the younger one.

“Now, now Kanzaki-kun”, Kojiro said. “We shouldn’t be so violent.”

“Tch”

Kanzaki took out another set of bladed school supplies from his sleeves and flung them towards his target, Kojiro Sakamoto. He knew the man; by face and by name, for he was one of the instructors of his school. In retaliation, the teacher took out a larger sword than what he used before. With it, he nimbly blocked the flying weapons leapt towards the boy while bringing his sword down. Well trained in fighting, the student quickly went sideways, avoiding the attack.

“Can’t we deal with this peacefully?” Kojiro asked sending his sword back to his pocket dimension.

“I don’t mind”, Kanzaki replied kicking the chair by his foot and send it flying to his opponent. “But, I don’t want to lose.”

This time, Kojiro summoned a lance and swung it like a bat. Another chair went out of the window, clearing half of the obstacles in the room, the said arena. The teacher whistled as he admired his own attack. The boy took this opportunity and dashed towards his teacher pulling an aluminum meter stick from his back. Just as the boy was about to land an attack, Kojiro quickly replaced his lance with a huge shield and blocked his attack.

“Really now, Kanzaki-kun, you won’t win against me like that.”

Hopping backwards, Kojiro withdrew his shield and shrugged. He wanted to end the battle as soon as he could and the boy seemed to have the same idea. The only thing was that he enjoyed teasing the boy. However, it was obvious that Kanzaki didn’t want to prolong it any longer as he took out all of his school materials.

“I really don’t like how you look down on people, sensei.”

Kanzaki dashed towards the teacher and flung his pens, pencils and all that could serve its purpose like knives. Trying to show off, Kojiro tried to dodge the flying utensils, only to be hit with everything that was thrown.

“Are you an idiot?” Kanzaki said almost in disbelief

When the teacher was within Kanzaki’s arms’ reach, he took out two staplers from his sleeves. Just as Kojiro was about to reply, the staplers were on each side of his mouth. Despite what was happening, the adult only laughed.

“Doesn’t this situation look like that one popular anime?”

“Give up, sensei.”

“No can do.”

What Kanzaki didn’t notice was that Kojiro had pulled out a dagger and stabbed the boy in his abdomen. What the teacher had not expected was that the boy didn’t even flinch from his wound despite his blood already starting to stain his shirt. The teacher quickly pushed the boy to avoid the stapler attack.

“You’re amusing Kanzaki-kun. Remind me to have another spar with you. I’m gonna end this with a bang.”

“My pleasure. But, I’m the one who’s gonna win this round.”

Both the teacher and student dashed towards the each other. Kanzaki was equipped with a thick armor of cardboard while Kojiro with several bombs in hand. Indeed, there was a huge explosion when the two clashed. The explosion was so big that even the walls gave in and crashed to the floor.

Thick clouds of dust covered the whole room and yet there was a silhouette of someone leaning on a huge pile of fallen debris, coughing loudly. As the dust cleared off, Kojiro, with his clothes slightly tattered smiled as if there was an audience (although there really is) seeing his victory. He made a peace sign gesture with his hand.

Kojiro wins.

Battle between Sokurunde Watashi and Rai

Sokurunde was relieved that he had won the last battle, and he planned to not lose this time. The battle looked to be held in a subway station this time, against a more powerful opponent, Rai. Equipped with knives, Rai seemed to be a deadly assassin who would stop at nothing to win.

Sokurunde looked quietly at his next opponent, knowing he would not be able to trick her into falling for the same trick as Fuu fell for. “Hello,” Sokurunde said politely, “I am glad to be your opponent this round and I would like to say-” Whatever Sokurunde was about to say had been cut short by Rai suddenly rushing forward and slashing at him.

Sokurunde dodged the attack and yelled, “Hey! I was introducing myself to you, the least you can do is listen.”

Rai flipped her hair and talked in a loud voice, “I don’t care what you have to say, we are fighting, so die!” Rai launched herself at Sokurunde, flinging some knives at him. Sokurunde dodged all but one of these, which scraped his arm.

Sokurunde felt it, but tried to concentrate on dodging the knives.

“Why didn’t you die from that? I will get you with this!” Rai flung a knife in the air, pointed at it with her right hand, and pointed at Sokurunde with her left. Rai smile, snapped her fingers, and let her magic do the work.

Sokurunde saw the knife heading straight for him with impossible speed and tried to dodge it, only for it to change directions and strike Sokurunde in the left shoulder. “Argh… You… Little…” Sokurunde’s eyes changed to a different color, no longer was he going to be on the defensive and be a nice guy.

He wanted nothing short but to kill Rai.

Rai noticed the change in Sokurunde’s voice and his eye color, but thought nothing of it, “Humph, I see you have some red contacts and a voice modulator to change both your eyes and your voice.”

Sokurunde looked at Rai with pure hate and suddenly, Rai knew she was going to have a hard fight. With a cry, Sokurunde pulled the knife from his shoulder and summoned his staff. Sokurunde smiled an evil smile, going to try out his new move that he had perfected. While Rai ran toward Sokurunde, he cleared his throat.

When Rai was only six feet away from him, Sokurunde cried, “Reality warp!”

The air around Sokurunde shifted and warped as the air turned to a dream. “What is this?” Rai shouted.

Sokurunde grinned and replied, “Your worst nightmare.”

Part two of battle

Sokurunde used his power of dreams to shoot a beam of energy at Rai’s shoulder.

“Ahhhh!” Rai screamed. “You did not have this power just a few minutes ago! What did you do?”

Sokurunde ran up to Rai to minimize the distance between them, if she ran out of the seven foot radius of the dream area, then he would be powerless until she stepped back in. Sokurunde grabbed Rai by the front of her shirt and lifted her in the air. “I have to power to completely control dreams. You are in my domain now, you will be defeated!” Sokurunde threw Rai into the ground and shot her with multiple beams of energy.

“Ahhhh!” Rai screamed again. Sokurunde just laughed with deranged madness. He stopped for a moment to let Rai catch her breath, so he could attack again and make it hurt more. Before he could, however, Rai jumped up and back as far away as she could, which happened to be eight feet.

Sokurunde grimaced and ran towards Rai, who kept jumping back. Rai realized Sokurunde’s weakness then, “You only have a certain radius of that thing, don’t you?”

Sokurunde frowned and jumped forward while Rai jumped back and hit a wall. Sokurunde ran up to her and hit her with his staff. Rai swung wildly while Sokurunde dodged all but one of the knife slices.

“Ugh… That will be the last time you manage to touch me, you…” Sokurunde said a word that can not be typed or said on television. “Now die!” Sokurunde ran at Rai and grabbed her knife with a gauntlet that he fashioned out of darkness. He then threw the knife away and grabbed Rai by the throat.

Rai struggled, her violent nature and loud-mouthed attitude had vanished as soon as Sokurunde touched her with the gauntlet, sapping her energy. She managed to utter one last cry before Sokurunde let go of her. Rai fell to the ground gasping for air, her energy gone made her venerable to any attack, but Sokurunde wanted to make her suffer more. “You will pay for that.”

Rai tried swinging out at Sokurunde with her fist and managed to hit Sokurunde, but it did not phase him at all. Grinning, Sokurunde grabbed Rai’s wrist and snapped the bone, making her scream in pain. Sokurunde laughed at her, he was really starting to enjoy this.

Rai pointed at her knives laying a few feet away with her right finger, then at Sokurunde. Before he realized what was going on, the knives came flying towards him and almost stabbed him through the gut, but he managed to leap out of the way in time.

What Rai did not foresee was the knives still flying in the direction Sokurunde was and stabbing her. Rai gasped and struggled to keep consciousness. Sokurunde walked up to her and smirked, “I had to time that perfectly or else the knives would have curved and hit me in the air. Even so, it was a dumb move. I can cause you so much pain now, but I feel that you have had enough.”

Sokurunde harshly pulled the knives out of Rai, who then fainted. “I managed to beat her even though I still have three minutes left in my reality warp.” Sokurunde cut off the warp. “It makes me feel dizzy, but I could have lasted longer in that fight.”

Winner of this battle: Sokurunde Watashi

*KLANG* *KLANG* *KLANG* *KLANG**KLANG* *KLANG*

A series of blows were exchanged outside a train station. Sparks flew every
time the weapon of the two boys came into contact with each other. Fuu,
one of the boys, was flinging around his katana expertly while Kanzaki, the
other boy, was busy blocking his opponent’s attacks with his metal meter
stick. Although Fuu’s attacks were quick, Kanzaki could block them with
minimal effort.

’This guy is just playing around’

Kanzaki then took out another meter stick from his sleeves and went into an
offensive stance. Fuu noticed this and backed up a bit.

”Hey, now. We’re still warming up. No need to…”

The sound of air getting ripped cut Fuu off. Kanzaki had made a quick slash
with the meter stick at his left hand. He then continued his combo by using
his heel as a point of axis to make a cross-wise slash with the meter stick at his
right hand.

Luckily, Fuu was able to dodge the attacks thanks to his hyper speed. Fuu
then made use of Kanzaki’s difficult-to-counter position and made a sweeping
kick to Kanzaki’s legs. The attack connected and Kanzaki fell off balance. But,
Fuu’s attack didn’t end there. Using the momentum of the sweeping kick, Fuu
was still revolving when he used his sword to cut Kanzaki in half by his stomach.

*FTANG!!!*

Kanzaki was flung towards the one of the card readers of the station, breaking
it in the process. Luckily, Kanzaki was keeping his weapons inside his shirt
which saved him from getting split in half.

*PIRORIPAROPIRIRORA*

Kanzaki flipped his phone open whilst sitting on the ground after being thrown.
He could feel the pain in his back especially since he bumped onto something
metallic.

”A message. At this time?”

Unfortunately, Fuu didn’t have the luxury of waiting around for Kanzaki to finish
checking his mail. He then used his supersonic speed dash and then planted a kick
to Kanzaki’s stomach.

Kanzaki cringed. It wasn’t from the pain of the kick but from the sonic boom that
followed due to Fuu’s supersonic speed. Kanzaki’s eardrums were ringing so loudly
that he thought that its name should be changed from “eardrums” to “eargongs”.

Jokes aside, Kanzaki wasn’t really up to this fighting. Rather, he wasn’t up to fighting
physical enhancement type abilities.

With Kanzaki’s back cornered up against the metal card reader, Fuu used this
opportunity and continuously landed kicks on Kanzaki’s abdomen like a pneumatic
drill. He then ended by dashing 20 meters away and then dashed back towards
Kanzaki’s position at mach 1 speed to land his finishing kick. Fuu’s dash sent
supersonic waves to the ground, effectively cracking it.

It was a split second movement, but Kanzaki was able to dodge Fuu’s kick. Fuu’s leg
went through the metal card reader and locked it in place. Kanzaki could only take
out as much metal meter sticks and flipped them open to block the incoming sonic
boom.

Unfortunately, Kanzaki was only able to take out 17 meter sticks which he impaled
onto the cement at the space between them. Adrenaline allowed him to be able to
impale the meter sticks into the cement. The meter sticks resonated the moment the
force of the sonic boom collided with it creating a very loud noise.

After the sound finally subsided, Kanzaki stood up and looked over the other side of
his metal meter stick barricade. On the other side was a sight of a boy foaming in his
mouth.

“I guess I won, huh?”

*PIRORIPAROPIRIRORA*

Kanzaki flipped his phone open.

Demera of December vs. Kojiro Sakamoto

Kojiro, lying on his back on the cold floor of the train station, glanced downward at the crystalline sword pointed at his neck. His eyes darted upward at the owner of the weapon. The girl smiled wickedly seeing as how she had pinned her opponent down. Their fight had been on for only a few minutes and her victory seems obvious.

"Can't we talk this out?" Kojiro asked, still keeping his relaxed expression despite the situation he was in.

The girl, whose black hair seemed to turn teal in color when against the light, only looked at him in plain disgust in how he seemed to be pleading for his life. Playtime was over. Demera raised her sword ready to stab him a million times until his last breath.

But this was her mistake, as Kojiro took this chance to summon a gun and took a shot at her without aiming. The girl was able to deflect the bullets going in her direction in time however her prey was able to escape her clutches.

"Genius, really", Demera couldn't help but give out a sarcastic comment.

"Why thank you, Miss", Kojiro replied.

Kojiro wasn't really fond of using guns, so he sent it back and exchanged it for a sword. As he did this, Demera charged forward with no difficulty as there were no obstacles in her way unlike the first round. He was able to dodge her attack easily with perfect timing much to her anger.

Kojiro was now standing behind her back, pushed her slightly. Demera, who was able to regain her balance immediately, turned around ready to slash him. He was able to jump back just in time, predicting her possible retaliation, and laughed aloud.

Demera clicked her tongue, evidently pissed at the man she was up against with. She took a deep breath and exhaled. She wouldn’t want her anger to cloud her judgment. She opened up her palm forming something made of crystal. Kojiro, on the other hand, stood still patiently waiting for what she was planning to do.

Ne, ne just give up and let me win” he said, intentionally provoking.

With her crystalline weapons ready, Demera threw it towards the annoying man and ran. Kojiro, who attention was focused on deflecting the knives, was unable to see the girl dashing in his direction and making an attack. Fortunately, he was able to deflect her sword but his own weapon broke, much to her amusement. She made another slash. This time, he barely dodged the attack and sustained a little cut on his abdomen from it.

Seeing as his weapon was now useless, Kojiro didn’t bother picking it up again and pulled out another sword. Warm up was now over, time to get serious. He realized that his opponent was not just someone who he could take as someone he could easily defeat.

Kojiro picked up the sharp object he deflected and analyzed it. He picked the crystalline knives that fell near him. It was quite sharp and it’s seemed as hard as a diamond.

Of course, Demera wouldn’t just stand idly on waiting for her opponent. A cloud formed over her enemy’s head. She smirked. A win was now in sight. Right now, she concentrated on her possible final attack. She wanted to make it grand and maybe even flashy as she was in the mood for it.

Obtaining most of the crystalline knives in his own hands, Kojiro threw it at Demera, like how she did to him earlier. Kojiro summoned his own sets of shuriken from his pocket dimension and did the same. The girl noticed it right away and dodged his gracefully as if she were dancing.

Failing to see that she was at the edge of the platform, Demera almost lost her balance. With her quick reflexes, she turned her own body swiftly and landed her foot on level ground. While she did this, Kojiro had ran towards her direction and disarmed her. He twisted her hand and placed it on her back, like he was apprehending a thief.

Not waiting for her to respond, Kojiro hit the spot in Demera’s neck and the girl fell unconscious. The cloud gathering overhead slowly disappeared. He wiped the sweat on his forehead.

“That was close”, he said with a satisfied grin on his face.

Kojiro Sakamoto wins.

Tamashi Amaterasu vs. Scarlet

The lights overhead flickered more often than the blink of an eye. Heavy breathing mixed with the soft rhythmic ticking of clock hanging on one of the posts was the only sound that could be heard at the deserted train station. Across each platform stood the two participants of the tournament, glaring at one another, ready to go at it again.

The silver haired girl stood straight after recovering her breath. The fox that was perched over her shoulders jumped down towards the cold steel floor, steadily facing their enemy. Scarlet’s grip on her umbrella tightened and waited for her opponent to make a move. Tamashi, beads of sweat trickling down his forehead, stood straight wielding his dual blades. Like Scarlet, he was also breathing heavily.

Muttering something under her breath, Scarlet was chanting an incantation. Tamashi didn’t wait for her to finish what she was trying to do and jumped towards the platform where she was.

A sudden spark of electricity trailed from the end of Scarlet’s umbrella that was touching the tiled floor, towards the direction of the silver haired boy. Tamashi easily avoided it by jumping up it the air again. Kicking the air to gain speed, he was going at her direction.

Wrong move, Scarlet commented as she pulled out one of the tonfa guns that was hanging on her waist.

Scarlet aimed her at boy who was inching closer by the second. She applauded his speed and reflexes but he lacks planning when enraged. When the timing was perfect, she pulled the trigger. Tamashi had barely enough time to move out of the way brought his sword up to deflect the bullet.

However, the first one was only to make him think that she only fired once. Scarlet sent a rain of fire-enchanted bullets. Tamashi, who was already standing on ground, tried to deflect and dodge her attack. When she finally stopped, he wasn’t left unscathed.

Dragging her metal umbrella behind her, scratching the once shiny floor of the train station platform, Scarlet walked slowly towards her enemy. Tamashi, breathing heavily from exhaust and wincing from the stinging pain of his wounds, realized that he was at a great disadvantage. He was also quite annoyed that he was being played with.

“Give up”, Scarlet said in an expressionless face.

Scarlet stopped walking when she was about to feet away from him, almost within arm’s reach. A soft gust of wind passed between them. Enraged, Tamashi brought his sword up and tried to slash her. She defended herself by raising her heavy umbrella easily.

“Tch”, the boy clicked his tongue.

With his other sword, Tamashi made another attempt to attack. Scarlet twirled her umbrella like a baton and stopped him. The girl sighed and gave a small nod of her head.

Before Tamashi could even notice, black haired man stood right in front of him and punched him in the stomach. The boy coughed, gasping for air. His vision was getting blurry. He could barely hear the man whisper good night into his ear.

The man returned to his original form and perched of the silver hair girl’s shoulder. They both knew that it was their win.

Scarlet wins!

The Battle between Sokurunde Watashi and Kojiro Sakamoto

Sokurunde entered the arena, It looked as if it could give a small child a seizure. He looked at his opponent, he seemed to be about Sokurunde’s height and age, maybe older. Sokurunde’s opponent seemed to not be carrying any weapon at the moment, but that could mean nothing, Sokurunde’s staff was never with him unless he summoned it.

Sokurunde walked until he was twenty feet away from his opponent, “What is your name?” He asked. His opponent rolled his shoulders, “Kojiro, yours?”

Sokurunde crossed his arms, “Sokurunde Watashi, it will be a pleasure fighting you.” Kojiro smiled, “Likewise, now let us fight.” Summoning his sword from his pocket dimension, Kojiro rushed at Sokurunde and slashed at him, but Sokurunde managed to dodge it.

“Good thing I managed to train in my agility, or I would never have won these battles.” Sokurunde thought, while summoning his staff and charging back at Kojiro. Kojiro smiled and stored his sword in the pocket dimension while taking out some throwing knives and chucking them at Sokurunde. Sokurunde’s eyes widened as he saw the knives being thrown and dodged them with some difficulty, “Where did you get those knives from?!”

Kojiro smiled and stuck his hand into the air and pulled out his sword, “I can take and store items in my pocket dimension. What is your power huh?”

Sokurunde shook his head while still keeping a safe distance from Kojiro, “I am planning for you to find out for yourself.”

Kojiro spit on the ground then said, “So be it, I will force it out of you.” Kojiro charged at Sokurunde while swinging his sword wildly. Sokurunde dodged the first few, but got clipped from the others, “Argh…” He groaned, while swinging his staff for a counter attack.

Kojiro jumped out of the way of the counter attack and laughed, this was becoming fun for him. Kojiro stored his sword in the pocket dimension again and pulled out a crossbow. Kojiro smiled while Sokurunde looked at it in pure horror, there was no way he was going to dodge this.

Kojiro shot the crossbow and hit Sokurunde in the stomach and shoulders, making it impossible to move his arms or sit up. Kojiro walked over to Sokurunde and knelt in front of him, “So are you going to tell me your power, or not?”

“I have warned you,” Sokurunde replied, his voice deeper and more menacing, before looking up and showing Kojiro his red eyes. Kojiro stood up and stepped back quickly while Sokurunde muttered, “Reality Warp

The air seven feet around Sokurunde distorted and made it possible for him to use his powers, “Now,” Sokurunde said, while healing his injuries, “Let’s get started.”

Part two of Battle

Sokurunde stood up while the arrows fell away from his body, Kojiro looked at him in horror before coming to his senses and shooting him with the crossbow. Sokurunde smirked and held out his hand, the cross bolts stopped dead in front of him and fell to the ground three feet away.

Kojiro summoned his sword again, backed up, and said with fear in his voice, “What happened? You did not have this speed and power just a few minutes ago! What are you?”

Sokurunde smiled, but started to walk towards Kojiro, “I am but a pure human who powers are greater than you could imagine. I can enter your dreams and give you nightmares for the rest of your life.” Kojiro shuddered, he still did not know what Sokurude’s power was, but thought that he meant he could scare him do badly, he would have nightmares.

Kojiro started to breath more calmly and set himself a battle stance, waiting for Sokurunde to draw near. Sokurunde smirk kept itself, “Bad idea.” He said, before speeding towards Kojiro and using his staff to hit him in the stomach. After that, he followed up with a strike to his sword arm. Even after that, Sokurunde used his staff to break Kojiro’s left leg.

“Ugh….” Kojiro groaned while Sokurunde lifted him up in the air and repeatedly punched his leg, making Kojiro groan with pain.

Sokurunde threw Kojiro onto the ground a couple of feet away and started to form a dark sphere that would destroy Kojiro, “Prepare for your worst nightmare.” Sokurunde shouted, while shooting the dark ball.

Kojiro instantly disappeared, and Sokurunde turned off his warp.

“That went rather well, I probably should not have killed him instantly, I wanted to make him suffer.”

Kanzaki Hiroyoshi vs Demera of December

Kanzaki picked up the call on his phone. When he placed the phone
by his ear, the world around him collapsed and was reformed into
what seemed like a hallway with checkered tiles.

"Hello?" Kanzaki answered the phone.

Only static could be heard from the other side. He removed the
phone from his ear and took a look at the caller. Unfortunately, he
was unable to since he just dodged a thrown projectile which was
clearly targeted to hit his right eye.

Immediately closing the phone and placing it inside his pockets, he
took out one metal meter stick inside his sleeves. Just noticing it,
Kanzaki touched his abdominal part. Apparently, that area that was
bludgeoned like hell from the arena before doesn't hurt anymore.

"World distortion?" Kanzaki mumbled to himself.

"So, you're this round's opponent?" a woman appeared from the
end of the hallway. The lady's cerulean blue eyes caught Kanzaki's
attention. They were radiant and vivid due to the light from outside
the windows. And those blue eyes became more clearer as she walks
closer. But one thing crossed Kanzaki's thought before anything
else.

'She has enough power to throw a projectile at that distance, huh?'

"Well then, sir, may I have a request?" Demera, the blue eyed beauty,
asked in a very polite manner.

"Hnnn?" Kanzaki replied in an equally unpolite tone.

"Will you please..." Demera paused as she disappeared from sight.

Kanzaki quickly assumed a defensive position with his meter stick
blocking any frontal attack. Unfortunately, Demera reappeared
behind him with a crystal sword at the ready.

"...die for me, won't you?" Demera concluded her request as she
made a horizontal slash at Kanzaki's back.

*FFFWWSHHINGGG*

Kanzaki felt the slash rip through his back. The crystal sword was
sharp enough to even slash the metal meter sticks he keep as some
sort of metal kevlar. The only thing that he could do was roll onto
the floor to put a distance between the two of them.

'What did the master say about unbeatable opponents again...?'
Kanzaki thought to himself.

Demera made a small knife out of crystals at her hand and threw it
towards Kanzaki. Since he was agile enough, he caught the knife and
ran towards Demera.

With the knife in hand, Kanzaki and Demera clashed weapons while
Demera was laughing in a hysterical manner and repeatedly saying
how a knife would never hurt her, especially since it was something
made from her ability. Demera decided to toy with Kanzaki who was
having great difficulty in fighting against a sword using only a knife.

Nevertheless, Kanzaki finally found an opportune moment when he
found an opening in Demera's stance. He threw a metal meter stick
and flipped it open. Demera, who noticed the meter stick, created a
small cystal shield to block the meter stick. But, although his had
blocked her point of view, her particle perception was enought to tell
what Kanzaki was about to do. But, the question is, could she dodge it?

Kanzaki took out another meter stick and bound the knife at its tip by
the use of scotchtape. He then made a thrust using the combined
weapon. The weapon pierced the small shield and Demera, in an effort
to dodge the attack, was knocked off balance. Kanzaki made use of that
slip up and grabbed her by the ankles and threw her to the ground
behind him.

Unfortunately, Demera was able to free herself away from Kanzaki's
grip and back flipped away from him.

"This is getting boring." Demera concluded as as a giant skeleton made
it appearance behind Demera.

"Indeed, this will be the end." The skeleton's voice echoed through the
hallway as it extended its hands towards Kanzaki.

What both Demera didn't know is that the Kanzaki standing in front of
her is just a memory given form. A strong enough memory with no life
or whatsoever. But, of course, even Kanzaki himself does not know this.
He was bound to forever never enhance his skills. Someone who's not
supposed to exist. Someone who's not supposed to live.

Seeing Demera's shock, which he didn't know what caused it, Kanzaki
quickly dashed towards her and used his combined weapon to hit
Demera by the back of her head causing her to be knocked unconsious.
The giant skeleton also faded as Demera's consiousness did.

"Whew..." Kanzaki sighed. "What was that?"

Battle between Sokurunde Watashi and Kanzaki Hiroyoshi

Sokurunde was transported into yet another arena, this time with the announcer shouting that it was the last battle, “Save the best for last I suppose…” Sokurunde thought as he made his way up onto the giant arena. He pulled out a picture of his sister and him and whispered, “Wish me luck Eukina…” "He deposited the picture in the front pocket above his heart (it gives a more sister-brother love effect!).

Sokurunde never pulled out the picture before, because he never needed luck to win his previous matches. This time, however, it was different. He was very sure he needed luck, not only skill, to defeat this last, and probably very powerful, enemy.

Sokurunde had not pulled the picture out before any of his fights because he knew he would have won those, this next and last opponent was going to be the hardest of them all if he made it this far. Sokurunde would have to be on his guard at all times if he were going to survive the upcoming battle.

Sokurunde had finally made it to the top and looked around for his opponent on the other side. He wanted to introduce himself before fighting his opponent, it is always polite to. Sokurunde saw him coming up the other side and look at him. Sokurunde started to walk towards him at a slow pace, to show that he meant no harm, at least for the moment. Sokurunde reached his opponent and held out his hand slowly, “It is always polite to introduce yourself before a battle. My name is-” Sokurunde said, before his opponent cut him off.

“Yes, yes I know. You are Sokurunde Watashi, you have to power to enter peoples’ dreams and control them. You also have to ability to warp the area around you to have a makeshift dream world, I watched the battle videos and reviewed your performance. By the way, my name is Kanzaki Hiroyoshi, hopefully you already knew that.” Kanzaki stated plainly.

Sokurunde looked bewildered, “When did he get the time to watch my battles? I was instantly transported here and never even knew my next opponent.” Sokurunde thought. Out loud, he said, “Okay then fine… I will go to the other side and we will fight then. Good luck.” Sokurunde turned around and thought to himself, “I will not use my anger to defeat him this time, this I swear.”

Sokurunde turned around and saw Kanzaki do the same. Sokurunde sighed, breathed slowly and deeply to make him focus and closed his eyes. He opened his eyes suddenly and summoned his staff.

It was time to fight.

Part 2

Sokurunde charged at Kanzaki, staff in hand, while he swung at him. Kanzaki dodged and pulled a ruler out of his jacket and swung it across Sokurunde’s face, it made a distinct “SLAP” as it hit. Sokurunde cursed and leaped back out of Kanzaki’s reach, “Who carries a ruler with them?!” Sokurunde shouted angrily, as he rubbed his cheek.

Kanzaki managed a short laugh before answering, “I carry basic school supplies with me, nothing much really.”

Sokurunde rubbed his cheek more, it seemed to be more than just “Nothing much.” Sokurunde groaned, then charged at Kanzaki again. Kanzaki jumped backwards away from Sokurunde and jumped onto a nearby pillar. Sokurunde looked up at him and started yelling, “Hey! That’s not fair! I can’t jump that high you know? Get down here!”

Taking advantage of the fact that he had height on his side, Kanzaki threw down some protractors at Sokurunde, causing him to jump out of the reach of the pillar. Kanzaki was enjoying himself, but thought it would not be fair to Sokurunde if he stayed up there, so he jumped down and kicked him in the face.

Sokurunde staggered back after letting go some curses, something he did normally do, but he did not get angry. Sokurunde let go of his nose to see that it was bleeding heavily, “Ow… That really hurt…” Sokurunde said as he ripped off some of his shirt to stuff in his nostrils.

Kanzaki was wondering when Sokurunde was going to show his angry side and let out the warp, he would not win this battle if he had control over Sokurunde’s anger, “I have to find some way to make him angry, but how?” Kanzaki thought, as he pulled out some rulers with sharp sides on them, “Maybe I can cut him a bit, then just try and play keep-away as he wastes his energy trying to kill me.” Kanzaki walk up to Sokurunde while he was still putting clothes in his nose and started to cut him with the sharp edge of the rulers, cutting open the breast pocket of Sokurunde’s shirt and making the picture fall out. Kanzaki cut the picture without realizing and it fluttered down to the ground while Sokurunde and Kanzaki looked at it in silence.

Sokurunde’s eyes started to turn red while he thought, “Don’t get angry, he will use that against you Sokurunde…” but to no avail. Sokurunde’s voice changed and he stared at Kanzaki with red eyes. “You’re dead.” Sokurunde muttered, while Kanzaki back up and thought the end result was good enough to control his anger.

Sokurunde put his feet apart, fists to his side, and yelled, “Reality Warp!” The air around Sokurunde changed and shifted into a dream as he walked closer to Kanzaki and yelled, “You will die!”

Part 3

Kanzaki smiled, as he ran backwards out of Sokurunde’s circle, “That went better than I expected, now to wear him down from above.” Kanzaki jumped onto a nearby pillar and lobbed objects at Sokurunde, which stopped dead in mid-air and dropped down. Kanzaki frowned and lobbed more stuff. This time, they all hit Sokurunde in the forehead, “Argh…” Sokurunde muttered.

Kanzaki jumped off the pillar as Sokurunde approached it and kept moving backwards as he threw more things, they all seemed to hit Sokurunde. Kanzaki frowned some more, “What is happening? He does not want to stop the objects like before. Perhaps it takes more energy to stop the objects than to let them hit him.” He thought.

Sokurunde inwardly smiled, his stamina was draining and that would mean he could use his final and most powerful attack to defeat Kanzaki. Sokurunde frowned and limped a bit to fake that he was injured, “Four minutes…” He muttered. Kanzaki smiled as he kept jumping backwards out of Sokurunde’s reach.

Finally, Sokurunde decided to use a bit more energy. He jumped forward with fast speed and got Kanzaki into the circle. Sokurunde grabbed Kanzaki by the arm before he had time to react and threw him against a pillar, which then crumbled a bit.

“I underestimated you Sokurunde, it seems you gain significant attributes when you are in that warp.” Kanzaki said, as he stood up from the ground, “But there is one downside to it…” He said, as he hit the pillar next to him and it came crashing down onto Sokurunde. “You are still in the air when I get up.” Kanzaki finished.

Sokurunde was very weak, but he had three minutes of the warp left, still a lot of time. He got up and tried to shrug off the damage, but the pillar broke his arm when it landed on him, so he was in pretty bad shape.

Kanzaki whistled a bit then went to another pillar and used his protractor to measure the angle at which it was leaning. It was leaning away from Sokurunde, but he could change that. Using his shoulder, Kanzaki pushed the pillar until it was leaning slightly towards Sokurunde. Kanzaki then stood in front of the pillar.

Sokurunde, who has been too pre-occupied with his arm to notice Kanzaki do this, shot a couple beams at Kanzaki, which disappeared before reaching him, “Oh right… seven foot radius…” Sokurunde thought, as he walked closer to Kanzaki. Sokurunde was now six feet from Kanzaki, who still did not move and was smiling. Sokurunde, enraged, yelled, “Stop mocking me!” and threw a orb of metal that he had conjured at Kanzaki.

Kanzaki smiled, then jumped out of the way of the orb, which then hit the pillar and came crashing down onto Sokurunde. Sokurunde stayed immobilized for a full minute before getting back up, two minutes left.

In truth, Sokurunde was playing it smart, injuring himself on purpose to activate a pre-requisite for his final attack, two were activated, he just needed one more, time.

“I… Have to admit… You are… A very ch-challenging… Opponent… Too bad this… I-Is lasting t-too long…” Sokurunde stammered, before coughing up some blood, a sign that the second requisite has been filled, “B-But the w-w-winner… Will b-be… decided… In about t-twenty seconds… Maybe more… H-How long has i-it b-b-been since… I activated… Th- This warp?” Sokurunde said with a lot of effort.

Kanzaki frowned, how could this kid possibly think he could win like this? He couldn’t think the kid could heal himself, otherwise he would have already, “Ok then… I will play your little game. Why do you think you can still win? I am outside of your radius and it does not look like you can walk any farther! Oh and by the way, it has been three minutes and fifty-six seconds precisely.” Kanzaki said with mock triumph.

Sokurunde smiled and started to laugh as he felt the third, and last, requisite activate, “Y-You have… No i-idea w-what… I am ab-bout to d-do… Do you?” Sokurunde laughed again as he yelled with a clear voice, “Ex Burst: Power of the Abyss!

Sokurunde’s reality warp turned even darker, and Kanzaki felt himself being drawn to Sokurunde’s warp, “W-What is happening?” He yelled, frightened as he was being sucked in faster.

With a clear voice, Sokurunde said, “My final power, it is bound to destroy you!” Sokurunde laughed evilly as Kanzaki was sucked into the gravitation field and killed as his body was ripped apart.

A minute later, the Ex Burst ended, and Sokurunde smiled as he collapsed the victor.

Sokurunde Watashi has won this tournament.
