| What would you look like? What would you do? What makes you different? Are you the main character, the wacky sidekick, or the down-to-earth friend? Would you be your "real" self? I think about this a lot, actually, lol. I'd still be a writer, but I'd be crazy good, and at least semi-famous, even though no one would know it if they met me at random. I'd write under a pseudonym, of course! If I were the main character of the series, the series itself would probably a collection of stories with me as the narrator, but there would be the underlying plot about trying to deal with life in general or something. I'd carry around a few pencils and a notebook at all times, and if I heard or saw anything interesting, it would end up on paper right there! So, basically, I'd be me. XD "RJ" is technically a character, but she's mostly me.  Still working on removing the background pattern from that one.  Here are some links to some character creators that I've used! None of them have a download option, but I used the snipping tool in Windows 7 to make mine. I think you can do the same thing with print screen and edit it in paint, but don't quote me on that. | I'm having so much fun with these that I made some pics of my alter ego, Lotus. She's a dark elf necromancer assassin. Skilled in dark sorcery, hand to hand combat, and stealth manuevers. Sexy, cunning, and deadly. Yes, that's a whip she's carrying in her hand ;) |

| this was too awesome!! my character is a mysterious fellow, seems to have no job, no ambition, eats a lot, is somewhat debonair and stylish, but he speaks vaguely of his past. then when events unfold and the world is plunged into battle and darkness he is forced to reveal his true self. a righteous angel of death! =D |

 "Whaaaat?! You're talking about me?!" My anime character self is a lot like myself but a lot more outgoing and controlling. She's got a really big ego and thinks of herself as high and mighty, since she learned long ago that she's pretty much "God" to the rest of her 50+ RP characters. You don't have to call me her God, though: "The Manager" will do. She is definitely expressive and totally main character-ish but more like narrator-ish since, as the manager, she'll sit back and let the characters usually run the scenes while she plays dungeon/puppet master. She just gets a kick out of ordering them around - but this is mostly talk, though - the RP characters usually pull her down to planet Earth and give her a good verbal beating. XD Her outfit is simplistic while she is complex. Since when I RP I distinguish multiple characters by font color, in my mind they stick with the color somehow. So she has a pink t-shirt for her pink font. She has dark blue shorts and she may or may not wear a belt for added style (though the utility belt on the generator could not be ignored because let's face it, it's a utility belt and it's awesome). She wears a watch because she always must be timely with her wit and charm - let's face it, she's a writer breathing life into dozens of characters. The book is usually whatever she's reading at the time or whatever rules she wants to throw at the characters (usually made up just to remind them who's boss). She likes funky jewelry (like me, and typically earrings) and the key necklace is the key to her heart since she's single (yeah she's a hopeless romantic). And then she's just wearing Haruhi's band to help distinguish her "plain" look and point out that she is not just normal, but she's the manager, damn it! Also, she has wings. This adds to the innocence of her "normal" look, and they can appear and disappear at will. This is also an obvious indicator that her secret identity is a magical girl: "Manager Mahou Chan!" or whatever she can come up with at the time. She can get so lost in switching roles to fit in with the rest of the characters and having fun that she can easily completely forget she is actually the manager. Must be a role model, you know! But yeah, that's probably more description than you wanted. But that's my character self after years of RP - I haven't RP'd in a long time and I miss it, but whenever I think of my anime character self, I think of me/her this way. I also have a cannibal catboy alter ego, but we won't get into that. |

| ok so new aspects of my character: though he lives in a ramshackle apartment, he somehow manages to con his way into high-class dinner parties and mingles his way through the social elite. nobody knows who the hell he is, but he is adept at making himself seem as if he belongs. he is polite, charming, engaging, and perfectly at home in any conversation on any number of topics. |

Me i just wished i had long hair XD i grow hair it puffs up into a afro.. and i really couldnt pick if i wanted wings or a tail XD because either i love them both... Im pretty big on Great Katana's if it was not a Great Katana probably a pair of guns. |

In addition, he is skilled at sports, fencing, and computer programming. A true modern day renaissance man. Takeshi is in a relationship with Akasha. Akasha has been very secretive about her past and even what she does presently. In truth, she is an evil sorceress and working alongside Justice's character in a secret organization. They fight against Takahiro and his organization of good. (That's all for now, I'll try to think of more later.) |
| @lotus i wouldn't say that Takahiro is necissarily good...it's more ambigious than that. think of the anti-hero concept we talked about earlier. i don't want to give too much away so early (in hopes this continues) and my character is mysterious is nature so i want to keep that intact, but...he's more self-interested at this point. we will get to know him as it goes along and his motivations as they and the story evolves |

The main thing is that he is against the organization that Akasha and Justice are a part of. Hopefully Justice will write more about her character and the evil orginization they're in. I'm thinking maybe Takeshi somehow happens upon Takahiro attacking Akasha and he saves her, but doesn't realize all that's going on. |
| at this point let's not worry about how our characters fit with other characters or the story. everybody (i say that optimistically as noone else seems much interested right now) just focus on your character and once we get going a bit we can look into how it fits together. i only say this because i want to encourage people to be a litte free creatively and not have to be constrained by what's already happening with the others. just focus on yourselves for now and we'll merge it all later once we've introduced enough characters. if we can get this going, and i know we have enought RPers here to...well it has the potential to be epic!! |
