Definitely! I would say either Monster or Pluto is probably the best starter kit for his stuff. And they both have very good anime adaptations so that's even better.

I've not seen any of his other stories but I can vouch for this one being very good. It's pacing is slow but the story itself is pure quality (characters, setting, political conflicts, themes, clarity).

Also, pay attention to the ED visuals as you watch ;)

imo, monster is BY FAR the weakeast of urasawa's works, while 20CB easily is the best and unforgettable. Read the sinopsis and see what you find more interesting. Pluto is also pretty good.

Monster is better than Pluto by quite a bit. Haven't seen the boys but Monster is awesome. the best slow burn anime around

probably start with pluto, it's short, good and may serve as an introduction to his work because monster is a bit long and not for everyone i've seen people give up somewhere in middle
so go with pluto then if you like it watch monster then maybe read 20th century boys(probably the best)

This was the best place to start for me! But for my brother who does not REALLY watch anime, I had to make him watch Pluto before he was sold on Urasawa's Monster.

I would recommend Pluto since Monster is really slow-paced compared to the original manga, and people new to Urasawa's works get tired of the anime easily. I enjoy Monster just as much, if not more than Pluto, but Pluto has the better adaptation.

Hell yeah if you think this might be too much you can watch Pluto or read it it’s pretty short but still amazing

Pluto is shorter, so it’s better to get introduced to Urasawa way of telling a story and his antics through a shorter but by no means,worse work.
