There’s a few images of adult Eren supposedly in the background of key moments in S1. Story wise that makes sense and would make a fun easter egg however is there actually any official statements from Isayama or the team behind the anime to confirm that’s really him? I know Isayama had an idea of where the story was headed since the beginning so it’s possible but I feel it’s coincidental that there’s a background crowd character with similar clothing and hair to adult Eren.

its clear that Isayama had thought of sending future memories back considering that's literally the first thing we see in the first chapter of the manga. AoT is filled to the brim with foreshadowing so it seems pretty likely that the person in those scenes is indeed adult Eren

Isiyama already had ending planned when story started and everything was foreshadowed from the start.

I'd assume he had a rough idea of how Eren would eventually look like and as a previous poster said, Isayama probably planned Adult Eren to be sent back in time.

Considering how much foreshadowing there is in AoT I wouldn't put it besides him to put Eren in some backgrounds as an easter egg
