| Overall it was good, but left a bad taste in my mouth with how it turned from dark suspense/mystery to an all out battle shounen. I also didn't like how they came up with new powers all the time to solve the situations, seemed like a bit of lazy writing. |

I've already rewatched it twice, absolutely top anime I've watched recently. If someone asks for a recommendation, I always give this title. |

Whats wrong with a shounen jump series being a shounen Shounen is just an age/gender group, not all shounen are battle shounen. It could very well have stayed true to the tone of the first episodes, but sadly it just turned into the more generic formula |

| Yeah, I agree. It felt like a breath of fresh air among all the anime released recently. The story’s well made — it has a beginning and a definite ending, leaving you not much space for imagining what might take place after the ending (which happens all the time if a series ends with a cliffhanger), it doesn’t fool around by inserting unnecessary humor just because it’s trendy to have a comical element nowadays, all the characters play a role, they can’t be left out (otherwise the story won’t make sense) and none of them is annoying. This show is indeed one of the best I’ve recently come across. |

| Disagree. Personally, it was one of my disappointments from last year. I didn't care for any of the characters, antagonists were poorly written, the transition from mystery/thriller to battle shounen was plain awful and Ushio pulling power-up after power-up to keep the plot afloat felt painfully lazy. Also no idea what they were trying to convey with some facial expressions but dear lord did they fail miserably in that regard.  |
