Why S2 is boring?

I watched S1 and I really loved it so much like it's definitely in my top 3 animes but when I started S2 and watched few eps I didn't feel like watching it anymore and got bored. S1 was 10/10 and S2 is straight downfall is mid af

naaaah bro s2 is my favorite, i get you might dislike it but s2 is about suspense and high stakes.I recommend to keep watching the next seasons are building up more and more, like AOT is a must watch don't drop it yet

"The least exciting" is very subjective, I think a more correct term would be "the slower paced" as I found it more interesting in particular because of the topics it addressed. But yes, he probably won't like it at all haha.

I personally Liked s2 more than s1, with all the thrill and suspense about who the female Titan might be and,, and the Levi Squad Annihilation is straight up depressing.

It's definitely not bad compared to the 1st season, Infact I would say it improves at certain parts.

Please watch Sword Art Online Progressive, it's the peak of SAO.

not sure why you think S2 is boring at all.... I think that AoT gets better and better with each season...
obviously that is just personal preference, but to say S2 is "boring" seems a little farfetched to me is you watched S1 and loved it.....

I can provide an example, episode 8 of season 2:

- first third, secondary characters informing each other about things the viewers already know
- second third, yet another flashback about kid Mikasa protecting kid Eren and kid Armin from bullies
- in the last part, Mikasa and Armin discuss about what to do next

Two thirds of an episode of a single cour anime were a complete waste of time and it's not like the last third was that exciting either.

Every series has a story. Season one raps up a part of it and the second season continues of it. It might be more dialogue, which mankind, like me, might find it boring as hell but we just need to suck it up. Just watch the death of these losers and you're up in the league. That's the only reason I watch this series, only the deaths since anything else is not worth even a second of my life.

see you just like hype stuff. Not only does s2 have one of the best fights in the show, this is where we acc get to see good character development.
S1 was just pure fun and hype, entertaining sure, but had very little character development. S2 starts that, we get to see the characters change due to what is happening to them
Also arguably has the shows best opening,has an amazing soundtrack and beautiful animation. Plus the world of AOT is further developed. Except from the pacing which was like a 6 cuz they was a lot more talking and scenes got longer, it is the perfect sequel. So what are you on about?

it’s the shortest season in the show and the ending so worth it so just finish this one and continue if you want to. This arc and the next ones have week starts but banger endings so just give it a shot

While I don't think it's fair to call it *boring*....It IS sort of a build-up Season.
The big reveal/climax will always be more popular and impactful than the part leading up to it, no?^^

Building up is necessary to make a good story, tho. Boring is the wrong word to describe Season 2, my boy. It's a part of the story that is preparing for some more of the things you liked :) So keep watching.

I just fully don't understand this attitude. the importance of these scenes are the emotions that were conveyed, not everything is about getting new information revealed or moving the plot forward. Like that's definitely one of the lesser episodes for me but I wouldn't call it a waste of time.

I've watched everything thats out and the plot just devolves after season 1 and gets so boring and stupid. not worth watching past S1 IMO

Me too! I actually loved S3 arc 1, all of S3 is a masterpiece! Well the whole show is a masterpiece so far but S3 was where I think I fell in-love with it

As for the main topic of the post; on my first watch I found S2 to be rather mid as well BUT on a rewatch I found it amazing. There is a ton of hidden detail and foreshadowing brilliantly done in the most intelligent and natural feeling way, which is also why if you’re not paying super attention you might even miss them and not know they happened. The show doesn’t try to spoon feed you the information in unnatural ways. I highly recommend to rewatch the show once you watch all that is out, or at least the first two seasons as the writing and foreshadowing in them is impeccable.
