I loved this anime and yeah, first episodes feel a bit underwhelming but you're still on character development, trust, around half the anime it gets waaaay better

Watch past three and if you still don’t like it, just drop it, but it does get better. It’s good until the last 2 episodes imo

I'm with you, at first I found this show kinda boring and was questioning if I should keep watching but I decided to anyways and the ending is actually really good so I'd recommend to keep watching, it's just a very low-key anime

try till like episode 7 or 8 even though the show keep changing itself till the end and show drastic tone change from 12 or 13 as far as I remember but if don't really enjoy it till episode 8 then just leave it

It's quite quirky hence the show's protagonists and characters.
it also contains some awkward scenes and a lot of unnecessary drama.

But it has scenes that take your breath away.
Especially some heartbreaking scenes.
And it's pretty funny sometimes.

it's one of the series, as my godfather says it's good to pass the time pleasantly.

If you still decide it's not worth it at all then I have to recommend another series with a female protagonist who has very similar vibes to Taiga.

'Gosick' a series with a much more interesting plot and much more original place and time I must say.

imo it starts off fairly meh and this is coming from someone that usually gives shows a three episode limit to impress me, however for whatever reason I pushed through and not many episodes after I got very invested into the characters and their stories.

it ends up being a very wholesome show indeed and if you can stomach the slight cringe here and there it's well worth the end result.

first 6-7 episodes are mid, but episodes 15-22 are my favourites and I really liked the story, yet I was a little disappointed by ending

This is definitely not an anime to use the 3 ep rule on. At least get to 5 or 10, the story starts really picking up at around 5.

If you're in the age range of like 13 to 15 it'll probably be worth it and end up really pulling your heart strings. But if you exceed that age I'd say no not super worth the time.

Honestly Toradora is overrated. If you're overwhelmed already 3 EPs in, then not to alarm you but it gets more intense.

I rate you should watch till EP 5 and then decide if you want to continue. (but that's just me, up to you)

Ehh it’s like a 6 or 7 out of 10 imo. I like the romance genre and I think this one is a little overrated, not one of the best in the genre tbh. If you have time to kill I would finish it but otherwise there is better stuff out there

I thought the same, but the last few episodes made it from a 6.5/10 to a 8/10 (in my opinion)

i’m late to this thread, so i apologise!!

there are a lot of aspects where it’s quite fun to watch and see the build-up to some heartwarming scenes.

however, if you’ve not got the patience for that, my best advice would be to watch some compilations of what others may think as the ‘best scenes’ online; therefore you get some sort of enjoyment from it in one way or another.

either way, nobody is forcing you (i hope) and you’ve got all rights to drop it and watch it another time

In my opinion, no. I personally love romantic animes but this one is not on my list of the best, I think the protagonists are kinda boring, annoying. And some scenes had never ashamed, like the pool scene lol
