| I was thinking recently that each heroic spirit and their master seemed share common sin. Some more obvious than others though. Lancer and El Melloi - Lust, Lancer fell in real life over love and El Melloi also got in troble because of that Sola Ui Caster and Ryosuke - Gluttony, they do not eat much, but they show no moderation in what they do at all. Berserker and Kariya - Envy, Karia wanted Tohsaka's wife and Lancelot Arthur's wife. That could be considered lust as well, but it is envy since they both coveted what was someone else's. Rider and Waver - Greed. No need to elaborate much on Rider who even got himself the biggest body in reincarnation, but Waver wanted fame and everyone to acknowledge him. Saber and Kiritsugi - Wrath, both believed they are doing the right thing and wanted to destroy what they deemed wrong. Archer and Tohsaka - Pride, pretty simple. Both thoroughly convinced that they are better than everyone else there. Archer even betrayed and led to Tohsaka downfall for insulting his pride. That leaves Kirei and Assassin with sloth. |

| I mean, the master and the servant share an invisible bond. The Grail chooses a servant who best suits the owner's personality. Plus, there's also the concept of the Catalyst and all that, which was explained throughout the series for some reasons. So, yeah. |
