| Personally, the sub is infinitely more well rounded, however, the dub has some stand outs such as Crispin Freeman as Kirei or Jamieson Price as Iskandar. Ultimately I'd suggest sub for consistency across media and dub for a rewatch (if you like Zero enough). Edit: If you like Iskandar enough (not Zero- trust me, the distinction is important) |

It has a pretty good dub, but I’ll say sub because Saber’s “Excalibur” shout sounds much better. The dub didn’t capture that moment well. |

| Sub will always be subjectively better because it retains the original voices and VAs’ expressions. But you can go dub if you prefer not having to always looking at the screen to understand what’s going on, and it’s your preference. Just never watch dub for real life shows, because that’s just stupid. The voices don’t even match the mouth movements half the time, unlike animated shows. |

I wanted to make an intro for newcomers in fate franchise. The idea for correct watch order in is a controversial one and baffles the people wanting to get into franchise. I oversimplified the timeline to make it less intimidating cuz  The timeline of fateverse(nasuverse) is really complex. Simplification does not do justice but that wasn't my goal to begin with. |

The error you're making is that "the timeline" is not the correct way to go into the franchise. /Zero is to be read after /hollow ataraxia, which comes after /stay night, and absolutely none of those are best experienced through adaptations. The correct watch order is not a complex issue at all, it only became so because of others making the same mistake as you did, assuming that going through the series in some pastiche of chronological order is at all valid. In attempting to rectify the conflict, you've perpetuated it. |
