I just finish watching to love ru first season and i have a question toward the role that lala take in Darkness. Wasn’t she the main character (with rito) in the first season. Then why is she a supporting character according to mal? Did they decided to put her on the side for the 2 darkness season? Please no heavy spoiler, i’m stil planning to watch it in the futur.

Idk why but she was mostly supporting character if I remember correctly bcs I watched it long time ago.

Lala isn't the main focus on the Darkness seasons,doesn't get that much screentime.

Lala is still the main heroine and the franchise’s mascot, just that story-wise, she is not the main character.
The focus of the story in this part are Momo and Yami.

Since she basically is already fully committed to ritto and she's loves him fully, they focus on every other girl who isn't in the same position since it's a harem
