| I might need to rewatch it. Usui definitely crossed to many lines. The only shojo I enjoyed was Shirayuki, because the female mc was respected... and not forced to wear a maid costume by some student D: |

| My main problem with maid sama: Usui was creepy and a little too perfect- makes it good for shoujo anime and all but he's also a bit boring as a character. Problem with Toradora: dont remember but Taiga was just a little annoying to me; it's not bad just dont like tsunderes that much |

| Kaichou wa maid sama is a very nostalgic show for me, so I honestly love it for what it is. Rewatching it there are some scenes I don't particularly like. As for the humour and character I enjoy it for what it is. I'm not looking for anything deep with this show and tbh it delivers. Especially since this was kinda normal during the era this showed aired. So fair enough to people who feel like this isn't aged well. Though to people who aren't a fan of these shows, it's probably best not to look for shoujo around this period. If anyone wants a more interesting romance I would suggest honey and clover. It's an old show (which seems contridictary but it is an exception I swear... probably cause this might be labelled as a jousei) but it tackles themes and characters aren't as 2d as the ones in kaichou wa maid sama |
