When do you give a show a 10/10

A 10/10 show doesn't have to be a 'masterpiece', it just has to be 'life-changing' to me. Like, enough for me not to be able to forget about it for a long, long while.

It was memorable and I remember how much fun I had when I watched it all of the way through. It kept me engaged, had a pretty good ending or left a lasting impression on me.

all that's required is for me to fall in love with the anime.
There are many anime that i enjoy the fuck out of and think they are one of the best ever! but those are like 9s..
then there are damned good anime deserving of my respect which are 8s

if I whole-heartedly ~loved~ watching it. Like, if I felt it in my heart, it deserves a 10 from me.

I'm a pretty emotional person, and an empath though.. so I wouldn't be surprised if I give a lot more 10s than most people.

Also, there are certain voice actors that I love, so that also plays a role in it.
Some anime probably wouldn't have even got a 8 if it weren't for the voice actor. Shit I'd might have rated it a 6 even! idk.
Sometimes VAs really carry an anime for me.
They can make all the difference.
And that's just one aspect that makes me fall in love with an anime.

@Adi-Buddha summed it up pretty well all ready, but I give a show a 10/10 when I don't even have to think about what I'm going to rate it. In other words, if I choose 10/10 without really even contemplating it, then 10/10 fits quite well.

10/10 must always be an enjoyable watch for me, and must also have nearly no flaws I would find picking about worthwhile. And almost always, in one way or another, these shows go above and beyond the average anime in some unique way, executing that uniqueness brilliantly.
