| Eh, I'd say the "san" is more equivalent of Mr/Ms/Mrs, and that it's quite typical for little sisters/brothers to call their older sister "nee-san". Chiaki uses the "sama" honorfic to express her deep admiration and respect for Haruka. It's definitely not typical of a younger sibling to use. |

Agreed number979 said: well sama actually means Mister,Ms, or Mrs. in japanese You wouldn't actually call your sister or brother like that everytime do you ? "-sama," from what I understand, is an honorific used in a sort of reverence towards someone else. As Meddigo stated, Chiaki shows her deep admiration and respect for Haruka by using the honorfic, "-sama." |
