| I thought this was done, but it turns out you still need a minimum of 15 characters. This is ridiculous for recommendations, sometimes OP will ask for a very specific request and you only have one title to offer that's, gasp, less than 15 characters. |

| I thought for sure they were going to fully remove it. Guess I remembered wrong, then. Whatever, it's still a bullshit rule. The recommendations subforum is never going to be cleaned up/good the way they want it to be. There are duplicate threads in every subforum and the same discussions keep popping up every couple of weeks in the general anime discussion subforum, for example. People have a memory of about 5 days online. And I think it's fine if people are looking for specific things and create new threads all the time. Each user has different tastes and requirements. And you shouldn't have to say why you're recommending a series when they've asked for a specific type of series. It becomes redundant at that point. If people want more generic/general recommendations, they have those on the anime entry pages themselves. They seem to want to combine that with the recommendations forum, but that seems way too hard lol. |
