Any anime with heavy western influence or maybe the setting is basked out of the West(US)?

Thanks

+Baccano!

Much of Uchuu Kyoudai takes place in Houston and Cape Canaveral.

Black Lagoon has a lot in common with Western action stories though it is set in Southeast Asia. Many members of its cast are Americans or other non-Japanese people like the Russian Balalaika.

Blood+ has some scenes that take place in the US, as does Eden of the East. Red Garden is set in New York City.

There are also medieval shows in European settings like Junketsu no Maria, Shingeki no Bahamut Genesis, and Claymore to name just three. Ikoku Meiro no Croisee takes place in late 19th century Paris.

The two Nodame Cantabile sequels are set in modern-day Paris and other European locations. Ristorante Paradiso takes place in Italy, and the second installment of Moyashimon spends a lot of time in France.

Tekkon Kinkreet was produced in the states and The Animatrix was directly targeted towards Americans; both are directed by an American, Michael Arias

+1 Baccano!
Trigun? Odd pick to some once you get into the meat of the show, but influenced heavily by cowboys and things like that

I like Code Geass, one of my favorite. Phantom is on my list but I'll go ahead bump the priority on it.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood obviously, but aside from something everyones seen -
Berserk (The movies are better than the older TV show IMO)
Ergo Proxy
Garo: Honoo no Kokuin
Jojo's Bizarre Adventure

I have added ergo proxy but I haven't added the others. Guess I will add them too, thanks.

FMA is one, being set in a Dieselpunk-Alchemic pseudo-European setting.

Jormungand/Black Lagoon-Very action-packed, especially similar to a lot of western action movies, even if it has a more international-setting.

Baccano-A lot of the characters are American, part of it takes place in 1930s Chicago. Heavily praised for it's dub.

There is an animated series to the Valerian & Laureline comic books - originally French.

It was made in Japan, but under French direction/ scriptwriting. hence it is not listed here on MAL.

The wikipedia article says it has an English dub, on crunchyroll. (I watched the French dub version.)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_Jam:_Valerian_%26_Laureline

The comic books to me are among the best stuff that is out there. The animated series is not up to that level, but still OK.
--------------------------

Also, kind of, to me : Howl's Moving Castle.
Parts of it reminded me of Winsor McCay's art, other parts of Monthy Python's animations (the castle itself) - so, Western influenced.
