~ Bonnouji ~

Synopsis

Fate brings two people who live in the same condo together on a typical afternoon. Ozawa (26) has just broken up with her boyfriend of five years and was in the process of trying to rebuild her life when she meets Oyamada who lives a couple floors below her. He is somewhat of a loner although he does have a few friends and his room is cluttered with all the random stuff that his impulse shopper brother sends him. Ozawa takes an interest with all the things in his room and the two start a friendship that slowly turns into something more."

Since this wasn't an ecchi, I assumed that:

Read it ages ago. Not much really to say except that I enjoyed it a lot. His room kind of reminds me of my own room expect the things I own are actually useless and just takes up space.

I liked that the romance wasn't cheesy like in a typical love story, and I agree that it was a good read.
But at the same time, I didn't find it that amazing or absorbing either. It was nice reading a few chapters a day maybe, but since I fell behind on them and had to catch up for the discussion (I didn't want to be late one week like the last couple of times), it even became a little tedious for me. But I guess that's my fault anyway for rushing. ^^

So girl loses her boyfriend, wanders into the life of another guy and his apartment, stays there for fun, and then things happen.

The Manga was great. Very little drama, plenty of funny moments, and it is lighthearted as whole. The characters are adults, which is a plus, and it is easy to understand. I do agree with Tsubameko that some of the shorter chapters felt like fillers, but I didn't mind them since they were entertaining. Oyamada must be one lucky guy to have a brother that sends him random stuff. Watanabe would have been best girl if she didn't get married in the end.

And then there's Chapter 22. I'm glad that it's there, but it's something that I feel uncomfortable reading. It's not a bad thing though. If you know any Manga that have stuff like in Chapter 22, then I encourage you to suggest them whenever we have a poll to suggest a featured Manga, ok?

I finished this yesterday. Not much to say, it was entertaining, but nothing to write home about. In the end I gave it a 6.

It could have been a bit shorter, some important points in the story were delayed because of "fillers", but it felt moderately satisfactory in the end.

PS: Am I seriously the one that gave it the lowest score? Don't make me look like a hater D:

Welp, I'm pretty late, but since the front page hasn't changed yet, Ill go ahead and post this here.
Bonnouji was overall a good read. I breezed through it from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. The romance was simple, and I feel like if someone told me this happened irl, I would believe him. I'm still immature, so it was a bit hard for me to understand what the characters were going through, but that bothered neither me nor my enjoyment of it.
Chapter 22... was totally unexpected; I think it's not appropriate in this kind of manga, but I also understand that it was simply part of character-development. The ending was too abrupt for me, but somehow I've come to terms with the couple not being married (I saw no ring on either person's finger).
Overall: 7
Apparently if I'm bored, I resort to social interaction for entertainment... I'm not sure what to feel about that.

Also, I'm starting to hate my username so call me whatever. Literally.

Whoa. When it keeps you engaged, that's a good thing, right?

The romance was simple, and I feel like if someone told me this happened irl, I would believe him.

Lies! A girl just doesn't wander into your room and befriend you just like that! It's all a lie!

I'm still immature, so it was a bit hard for me to understand what the characters were going through, but that bothered neither me nor my enjoyment of it.

Yeah, a little unexpected, however, given the situation, it was very appropriate because:
1. They're in their mid-20s, which is more than mature enough to engage in such activity.
2. Given the circumstances that they were sharing the same bed, it's a situation that isn't simply avoided. I mean, if you're sleeping together with someone of the opposite gender on the same bed, you wouldn't be able to relax because of the person next to you, right? You can't sleep because you're so conscious of the other person. That's why you gotta....EXPAND DONG!

It was bound to happen, and I was okay with that. But still...yeah, I expected something like that...but not like that lol. HUMAN FUNCTIONS!

The ending was too abrupt for me, but somehow I've come to terms with the couple not being married (I saw no ring on either person's finger).
Overall: 7

I agree that the ending was pretty abrupt, but at least it was a happy and funny ending. Gotta like how Watanabe uses Ozawa to practice her marriage ceremony.

I turn into an insomniac when I read/watch interesting stuff. To my mind this is a good thing. My sleep-deorived body, however... it complains in interesting ways.

Trust me. If you become as lonely as I am and read lots of romance anime/manga that start out this way, you become a hopeless romantic.

Yeah, now that you say it, it does make sense. Unfortunately I've already had the experience of sleeping beside 3 girls (from our class, nothing dirty). That night, I slept like a log. I do not know why I was uninterested. TT.TT

Yeah, I absolutely agree.

Gotta like how Watanabe uses Ozawa to practice her marriage ceremony.

Oh right, there was that. My bad, I honestly thought they weren't married for the above reason, and the fact that Oyamada didn't come to Watanabe's wedding.
