| Why is the alternative spelling "Sinbad" used on every related pages for this Magi's character, when his true name (manga/anime) clearly uses the other arabic spelling "Sindbad"? Worst, the manga/anime titles convention says the entries should be made under the original japanese name but for those series, everything but the character's name in the titles are the original japanese words. Example: "Sinbad no Bôken" when Japanese write "Sindbad no Bôken". edit: excuses. ^^" |

| @ElsaGranhiert You can see it in katakana in the japanese version bubbles, the japanese covers, here on MAL in the japanese written titles and hear it in the mouths of every character in the animations japanese dub. The choice the english translation editor made doesn't reflect automatically what was written. (example: some western versions of the Hoshin Engi manga use the characters chinese names instead of the japanese ones used in the manga adaptation but they are listed with the names used in the japanese version of the manga here) I know it is out of topic, but it is also used in several translations of the Sindbad parts in the 1001 nights (sorry, don't know the english title) edit: Pocket Monsters Satoshi isn't listed as Ash either. |
