| It might be a side story but it's equally awesome. I've read tiny bits from the LN from people who read it and I'm reading the manga also. There's more fights happening and I can actually sense the romance part between Aiz and Bell more here. At this point I'm just happy we're getting the animated version of anything related to DanMachi. IMO DanMachi s2 wouldn't happen right now regardless, since they need at least 2-3 LN volumes more. |

| Definitely excited for this. Hopefully this means a Season 2 will also occurred if DanMachi is crossing into Spinoff territory. Usually that's only reserved for anime that do well. Crossing my fingers season 2 comes eventually.....I really liked DanMachi a lot! |
| I don't know why studios are loving animating side stories all of the sudden. If the sales are that good just give an s2 and be done with it. |

| If this is just Ais' story instead of Bell's, then it should be pretty much new content, since those two don't overlap too much in Danmachi. All things being equal, i'd prefer an S2, but this could be good, as long as I don't see too much of Bete, that guy's a douche. |

Well, I just read a fair bit of the manga, and you're right, he's in it quite a bit. But he's still a douche. The perfect example of this is Lefiya. She is what would have happened to Bell if Bell was taken in by Loki, or if Bell didn't hear him saying "those words" that day, even with Hestia . She has abilities that are at least as OP -if not more- as Bell, yet she's completely unable to cop with anything unexpected happening. Spoiled too much during raids, especially by Ais. Bete is harsh in his words but he's completely right as well. His words may hurt, but they hurt because they're very spot on and strike exactly where the problem is. Bete respects the strong, and by strong, it doesn't mean high level, he can completely respect level 2 just the same. It's more about being able to stand up by themselves, not giving up and not fleeing in front of adversity. He doesn't show such respect to the weak willed, but it doesn't mean that he look down on them either. His words are actually helpful for weak willed to find the strength to change. And if they change, he will show the same respect to them as for any others, just as well. From some words he said in SO, it seems that Bete is more or less conscious of the lower levels being spoiled and that his behaviour is a necessity, too. it's actually fairly interesting to see so many anime watchers disliking him, whereas he's basically voicing his discontent about pretty much the same thing as lots of anime watchers do : You often see anime watchers complaining about weak willed MC. Well, he doesn't appreciate that sight either, and he helps them change by his harsh words, as well. Two reasons most anime watchers should actually like him, ImO. |
