As title implies:

1985.5 Porsche 944 2.5 (N/A). Sadly an automatic... But I drove it on a race track, haha.

That's nice man!

First truck I ever drove when I was like 8 or 9 years old was an old beat up 85 Chevy C10, 350 auto, small cam, and beat to shit. I mean rust holes in the floor board, no hood, and dents everywhere.
It was the truck we used to drive through the pasture, and haul the dead chickens away from the chicken barns. Lol That's what I learned to drive in.

This was the first truck that I ever owned myself. Although it looked nothing like this when I first got it.

The first car I drove happened to be my first car, the 1996 Taurus. I didn't have a license so I had a friend help me buy it.

I'm tired as hell so that's the end of my story.
Just need to find out how to quote this every time so I can dodge the stupid 30-character limit.

Did it happen to have the 5.7L in it? Those Dakota's that came with a v8 haul ass! Almost as quick as my Colorado. Would love to have one as a project truck.

I wish(ed). It actually came with a 4.7L v8, but it blew and was downgraded to 3.9L V6. I say I wish(ed), because I had a long commute to work at one point and the 5.7 would have murdered me when gas was almost $4 a gal.

Ah I see. My Colorado w/ the 5.3L and those Dakota's w/ the 5.7L are some of the most fun trucks I've ever drove.
I actually good pretty good mpg in mine, cause the motor is so big and the truck weighs next to nothing.
No one expects a Dakota or Colorado to outrun their Camaro until it's too late! Lol

Whoa, from the sound of what it was originally, it really looks like you did that car some serious justice. Nice work!

Just to clarify, I was talking about 2 different trucks. Lol Didn't know if I confused anyone. The 85 was just an old farm truck we had that I learned how to drive in.

The red truck I posted a pic of was the first truck I ever bought and owned myself. It was a 2001. It wasn't as bad as the 85 my family had. The 01 was different colors, had a v6 with like 300K miles, and was pretty beat up. I think I gave like $1000 or $1500 for it.
I pretty much redid the entire truck, the bed was so bad I had to replace it, did all the body work and painted it, all new suspension, bagged it, built the entire rear frame, put a 5.3L in it, and new stock interior.

Did you build your supra yourself? I always use to dream of having a Supra but every time I found one in the US close to Ok it was expensive as hell.

Trucks are a budget man's muscle car! When I pull up to a light in traffic and there's a truck in one lane and a sports car in the other, I always get behind the truck; he's leaving first. Every time!

All you need is an LS motor. Add a few mods and you can run with the best of them. Plus it's one of the cheapest and easiest swap to do.

Haha sounds good to me. I think it's time to broaden my horizons in that respect.

However I'm not giving up my current car for now. Maybe if I feel like something different in the future though.

LS motors are really easy to work on, and you can get a lot of power out of them. Everyone is doing LS swaps now. I've seen everything you can imagine with an LS motor in it.

I considered an LS swap for my future G35 project. They're so light and small, you can drop them into anything. I saw a supercharged LS S2000 run at autocross once. I would have sold my soul for that car.

That's badass. I seen a Twin turbo LS swapped 240sx somewhere on the internet and almost quit life. Like I could be cool one day.... but I'll never be as cool as a 240 with a twin turbo 5.3. Lol

Motor Trend has a video of them doing a 240 with I think a Camaro SS engine (the recent one). Apparently it was one of the best cars ever.

Video below for easy access.

Fucking thank you! That's the car I was talking about but the video I seen was much shorter, like just of it driving.
Excuse me while I watch this and have to change pants.
Man.... Now I wanna build one. Who knows about 240sx's?
I'm not too good with imports. How much would one cost me?
Doesn't have to be nice, or even have a motor or tranny cause obviously I'm gonna put an LS in it. Lol

Edit: How's this look? It's only about an hour away from me. Somebody with some import knowledge chime in. Lol

The guys over at Nissan Addicts of Oklahoma on Facebook should be able to help you out with that purchase. There are also some more 240sxs for sale over there.

Thanks man. I'm a Chevy guy so I don't know where to even look for a 240. It'll be a few months before I could buy the car though, and by then I'll probably have something else I want to build. Lol

I have a LS motor I need to do something with. It's not a 6.2, it's a 5.3. It doesn't run but I could have it running. I got it for free for pulling it out of a truck, did a little work on it and left it sitting. Haha

I wanted a 240SX, but then I realized my car probably has to be reliable for now and not just the ones you pick up at your local junkyard for however much you buy them for. Hopefully in the future I can get one and not worry about anything falling apart on me.

I feel ya. That was always my problem with any project. But I finally got a daily now so I can get a project and take my time with it. Won't have as much money to spend on it but at least I can work at my own pace.

I just decided my project car! It'll be a long time before I drop in an LS, but still a great start. I don't even know where to begin looking for a 240sx though. Maybe craigslist. I had planned to do this to an Infiniti, but to buy a beautiful luxury car and rip out the holy VQ, seemed blasphemous...and expensive.

I found a few on craigslist near me, but they were all running. I'd rather find one cheaper without a motor or tranny... If I build one. I talk a lot and make a lot of plans and then don't do it. Haha

But yeah craigslist would be a good start. SupraTurbo and I live in Oklahoma so he suggested the OK Nissan Addicts club on FB, I'm sure there is one near you. I'd check that they'd know were a bunch were for sell.

Edit: and just a warning a lot of people think it's just as blasphemous to pull the motor out of a 240 and put a v8 in it. Lol

Just so you know, your brother sucks for selling that car. Also, did your brother get a different car after that one? Depending on what he "upgraded" to, he might have a chance to redeem himself.

My bro is the type that thinks he is a Mechanic/ car flipper but he is not he just ends up with a bunch of cars/projects that don't run.
He bought a 4th gen Monte carlo but it was crappy and rusted out (during this time we lived in DET rust is pretty bad there). While the Cutlass was Alabama car that was for the most part rust free. He is a idiot tho he should have kept it in the family.
